I just read your last posting and wanted to ask you if you have tried getting help through social services?

Was your grandfather in the military, maybe you could get help through the veterans administration. Have you gone to SSI office to see if you can get any help through them. Please let me know if I can help provide you with any phone numbers to contact these sources, you need help. Don't try to carry this all on your own. Being you are going on 22 and at home, you should be able to get help through the State of Calif.

What a wonderful young lady you are. To be caring for your mother whom has MS and your grandparents seeing to caring for their health issues.

I admire you wanting to continue your education going into law. My Nephew is into law school, and it takes lots of reading and is hard work, also our two Grandaughters are going into law shchool.

I read your posting to my husband, we are both keeping you in our prayers that God will over see your needs and all will go well for you and your family.

Please once again, you definately should be able to get help, and you need it.

I have had to rehome a dog myself once. It was my daughters cocker. When I got divorced I moved in with my folks. I never imagined I would ever be divorced or have to sell my home. It was a very unforseen event in my life. When I was finally able to get my own apartment we took him with us, but he was a barker. When faced with eviction, I was forced to make the choice between him and my kids. I chose a home for my kids. I couldn't afford to come up with another first, last and deposit again. Fortunatly my folks kept him for us. I got lucky. It's not something I would want to do again but if i was unable to care for Alphy or give him the quality of life he deserved..... who knows.....I know that there are several people who would probably take him in a heartbeat and give him what I couldn't if it came down to it. Hopefully it will never come to that.

You made a decision that you felt was best for you and the only thing that matters is that you feel good with your decision and can live with that. If you are ok with it and feel you did the right thing, then that is all that matters. I wish you the best and I'm sure you found her a good home. I commend people who realize they need help and take the necessary means to remedy the situation instead of neglecting it. Best wishes.

this is a great post. you said exactly what i have been thinking but just couldn't seem to get it into words. so thank you...i share the same feelings. I have had to rehome a dog before and it was extremely hard. but i know 100% that he is in an amazing home and is far better off than the life we were facing ahead of us. i have no regrets because i know how happy and well cared for he is (i am still in touch with the people to this day and it has been 5+ years)

Ashley, i do hope you are feeling a little better today. I'm sure Reece will find a great forever home and it sounds like you made the decision that you could feel good about. we can't all feel good about the same choices in life...i know what some people choose to do and are completely at ease with in their lives, might not be something i could ever do...and visa versa. so I will continue to pray for your peace of mind and healing. chin up hun, we are here for you!!!

What is your sadness, will become someone else's delight !

I am speaking as someone who has bought one Yorkie as a puppy, and bought two Yorkies at different times, who needed a new home.....I now have three lovely 4lb Yorkie babies, Tara 7 years,(bought as puppy) Casper 4 and a half years,(bought at 19 months) and Tammy nearly 4 years.(bought at 3 years)
Try to think of the happiness your puppy will be about to bring someone else
