| Has anybody else got this? (This is the second time for me) Very Long! The first email is: (Dated May 25, 2007, Received June 27, 2007) My name is Mark Anthony. I and my wife are on a christain Mission (Crusade) to AFRICA and we came along with our yorkie, after a while we noticed that the african weather is not good for her health and we have not been able to take proper care of her because of the Mission before us. I and my wife have now decided to give her out on doption to someone that can give her a good home and take very good care of her. She's a very loving puppy, she will be a good companion. If you know you can take very good care of her do send me a reply back through my email address below or you can give me a call so we can discuss on phone. I will email you with her pictures and other details as soon as i receive response from you. I hope to read from you. Mark Anthony. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I replied and asked if they still had her. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Second Email: Hello. Thanks for your interest in my puppy. The puppy is still very much available for adoption. Her name is Katie and she's a beautiful little girl. Great coat - full and fluffy, ears starting to stand, good conformation. Healthy, playful and loving. she is 8weeks old, weigh approximately 1.6lbs about 4lbs range as adult. Would make a wonderful companion. Brought into our home, loved and socialized with people and other pets. The best possible care in raising, Vet supervision, quality food, all vaccination current and regular worming. We are a very selective breeder who breeds for quality. APRI registration with pedigree and sheloves to play around especially with kids. She's AKC registered and shots are given up to date. All the papers will accompany the puppy, the puppy is free as all you could pay me is take care of the baby . She is vet checked, but right now i am in Africa like i already told you in my previous email on a Christian mission with my husband, we have the puppy right here with us. we are going to ship to you via Express Delivery on Next Day Delivery after payment to a shipping agent at the airport, so if you are interested in adopting the puppy, i want you to get back to me with your Full name, Address, Phone # including the nearest Airport to you. Please if you know that you are not going to take very good care of my baby, do not bother to reply me because i am only giving this puppy out because of the bad condition here in West Africa and the missionary work before us here, and we hardly have time to take care of her. She will be going for free as all you will pay for is shipment fee to the the shipping agent i will direct you to, so i will like you to get back to me with your Full name, Address, Phone # including the nearest Airport to you. Attached are some of her pictures. I await your response soonest. Regards. Mark Anthony __________________________________________________ _______________ I know that is a scam but how cruel. The second email had pictures of a very young yorkie. Where did they get my email from? The whole thing is just scary in light of all the missing furbutts. Just kinda wanted to get this out just in case. Very sad and makes me ill to think about what some broken hearted person might do with this only to cause more heartache! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's a very common scam and comes in many forms - people need to be very careful and never EVER Wire money to anyone and I repeat - anyone !! You can never recoup funds if scammed - (I don't mean you - just in general) There are never REAL Free dogs especially if the person says Pay Shipping only - it's all scams. People should always pay with Credit Cards if possible so you have recourse in case something goes wrong. |

| I get those every once in a while and know they are scams. Either that or they need my help to transfer the millions a relative died and left them. I get those a couple times a day. |

| Ugh. I hate that. When I was searching for a yorkie, I would find ads online and email the person, and I can't tell you how many emails I got back saying, "Hi..I am currently in CAMEROON servicing the poor people and doing the Lord's work...please send me shipping $ and I will ship your yorkie." It disgusted me and made me laugh at the same time because it's just so ridiculous. Like I'm really going to send $ to you? What's worse is they are passing it off to be such servicemen & "good Christian people", and they are just trying to scam you! Makes me so sad.

i am in Africa like i already told you in my previous email on a Christian mission with my husband, YUP! It's a scam....And look at the red flags!! I would have HAD to ask him if he was married to Jennifer Lopez!! Sorry! couldn't resist!! I really don't know how these people get away with this crap! And there are some people out there that actually believe this stuff and end up losing money...not to mention the heartbreak of not getting a puppy they were promised...I can't understand WHY they can't get caught...with all the technology they have today with computers, you would think they could find these type people....I'm glad you didn't fall for this.

| That first line said scam all over it. LOL. Seen that so much here. Also, if the puppy is only 8 weeks old, how old was it when they took it to Africa? LOL.... Last edited by Bnot; 07-01-2007 at 12:32 PM. |

| I got an email like that about 8 months ago and I am a very gullible person. I thought they were being serious and when they pressured me to wire the money rather than paypal or a credit card, I backed out and they sent me threatening emails stating that they know where I live and they have my IP address. I freaked, of course but that didn't trigger my alarm. I know they were just out for the money. |

| I return their emails and let them know what a piece of s***I think they are. I had one using pictures off of my website today but thankfully someone called and told them they were doing it. I let them know I knew their address and their phone number and IP address and they scammed the wrong person. Hopefully it scared them but I doubt it. I think they are all crack heads and this is how they get their next fix. |

| Over the past few weeks I have had numerous e-mails from these scammers wanting me to let them put some money in my bank account. Something that I ordered on line or something that I had to put my e-mail address on must have sold my e-mail address because I have never had this before 3 weeks ago. I just reply "pi$$ off scammer". |
