| I have always heard double the weight at twelve weeks but you never really know. They can have a surprise growth spurt any time or stop growing at any time

| I've always heard double the weight at 12 weeks and sometimes add half a pound. It's not always true but normally is a good estimate. it was true for Lacy. So since your baby is 24oz or 1.5lbs, I would estimate 3-4lbs full grown.

| I have heard this too but this was not the case with bailey. Bailey was less than a half pound at 12 weeks and she stayed around a half pound until about 5 months. Then out of nowhere she gained a full pound... in about a period of 1 month! Now she is 1.9 lbs. I guess it just depends on the dog. |

| When we got Seymour, he weighed about 2 lbs at 16 weeks......... he now tips the scales at approx 8 lbs !! I think it depends on if Paris is fine featured or not. Seymour has longer legs than Shelby (our little girl) and I think that he just holds his weight well. He probably could lose a pound, but he really is proportionsed pretty well. Love my Teapots!!!

| Although, I do need to add that all dogs are different. Some have different growth spurts. Some stop gaining weight at 6 months and some at a year old. It all depends. What are the weights of the parents? |
