| How do you do that?? I want my babies to have hair like this (pics belong to red98vett. Im just using them as an example) My babies hair wont grow long enough between their eyes that I can pull it back like that. i mean, I can pull angels back but not like that. The hair around her eyes isn't long enough. Prince has short hair up top that I cant pull back at all. They are both a year old. Shouldn't their hair be longer? And how do you get their coat so beautiful? They have the perfect cut, perfect shine, and perfect length hair. Ahh im jealous..how do you do that?? http://www.yorkietalk.com/gallery/da...ith_frame_.jpg http://www.yorkietalk.com/gallery/sh...cat/540/page/1 http://www.yorkietalk.com/gallery/da...erismudged.JPG

| Hair growth depends mostly of the genetic of the Yorkies . Yours are young and as my Grand mother always said " Paris wasn't built in one day " . What products do you use ? |

Yeah but I figured at a year old they would have more hair on top. Prince has a WONDERFUL coat on his body, angel..well..she DID, until the pet salon BUTCHERED her. Her hair is long on the bottom, but near her back it like an inch long. I have no idea why they did that. To me, that was NOT a maternity cut. I don't use anything particular on them. Just regular store bought dog shampoo. What should I be using? How often?

| Maggie is 4 months old and her hair is growing like a spring weed. I switched to Chrissy Systems products, and already her hair is looking so much better. Great product and service. Got my order the very next day. We are both in Texas, so that might have helped with the shipping.

| Her dog is gorgeous and looks like a show dog!! I've heard that the only way to obtain a coat like that is to wrap it. My mother-in-law has a kennel and shows maltese...she has to wrap and take care of the coat CONSTANTLY. It is a lot of work and the ones she wraps have the lucious coat...the ones she doesn't don't. Again, genetics play a very important role. there are coats that will never make it far enough to get wrapped. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | You are so sweet - thank you and everyone is RIGHT - I use Chris Christensen Systems for Chanel & Cheri..and the Ice on Ice. When I first got Chanel 3 years ago - I used over the counter stuff - Petco brands etc - Tearless Shampoo etc. and her hair dried out. Switching to CC Systems was the best thing for them. Chanel actually has always had lots of hair - by a year old she had really long hair - She does NOT have a silky coat but it sure grows fast... Cheri actually has Silky hair and just using a good shampoo and conditioner is a huge help. For Bows...place your bow towards the front of your babies head till the hair gets longer...try to only gather enough to keep it out of their eyes - it WILL GROW !! When they're little and don't have much hair - look at it like you're helping their vision.....don't worry about how it looks yet...One day you'll just be able to make a pretty bow ! I use PetEdge bows on mine cause they stay in great and cost little PLUSH PUPPY Makes a great shampoo for yorkies also - You can email them a pic of your yorkie and they give you suggestions...that's how I ordered from them Chris Christensen Systems http://www.chrissystems.com Plush Puppy : www.plushpuppy.net |

One other thing I forgot to add is I spray her with Ice while she's wet. I also use Liquid Silk....boy does THAT smell good and works really well - With both these products - you use a VERY SMALL amount so a bottle lasts a while ps....heather - BOTH girls have had REALLY bad haircuts - your babies hair will grow back - then just shape it up...I do my own grooming now but may try a professonal again one day.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | to clarify on the showdog comment - I loved it but wanted to say - My girls are the FARTHEST thing from a showdog .....The only thing I can say is.... they are forever SHOWING me how much they can get into ... So if that make them a showdog - then we ALL have showdogs ! |

To Me....Wrapping is something you do for a gift - or music that I got REALLY tired of hearing when my son was living at home ! (rap) lol No I've never wrapped them - I wouldn't know where to start - they both usually just air dry outside... or in the winter - a hairdryer.

| I use the Chris Christensen Systems too. It made a huge improvement in Missy's coat after just one use. I have been wanting to try Plush Puppy but havent yet, so far the Chrissy system has worked great.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree - it it works - stick with it ! I like to change up shampoos but I can't afford all the ones I want to try ! Chanel said she has her own wrap song - does that count ? 50 cent & Eminem got nothin on her ! |
