Donating YT 11K Club Member | London drank chocolate milk..is that bad?? London was on the couch and my little sister left a cup of chocolate milk on a table next to the couch. I didn't know that London would climb up and on to the table and well she did and my sister caught her but it looks like she had already drank some. I gave her water afterwards...My sister feels so bad. I know chocolate is bad...is it poisonous?? This just happened but London seems fine..

My Lil Man! Donating Member | Chocolate is very bad for dogs...but....just keep an eye on him. If he gets sick you may wanna take him to the vet and have him checked out. However...my mother has a weenie dog who is about 12 yrs old and all her life growing up she would get into easter baskets, halloween candy, etc and eat the chocolate. It would give her a lil tummy ache and we would give her some peptobismol and then she would be fine. It never seemed to hurt her for some reason. I guess she was lucky. ?? Keep us posted on how London does!! |

| Do you have any idea how much London drank? How many tablespoons. Yes, chocolate is poisonout but it probably wasn't nearly enough to do anything.

| She may have some diarrhea in the morning. Many dogs cannot tolerate diary products.

| chocolate can definitely be harmful depending on the amount consumed and the size of your doggy. a bigger dog can take eating a small piece of chocolate better than a smaller dog. my other dog once ate a mini twix bar, but it didn't do anything considering how small the piece was and her size. i'm not sure how much chocolate content chocolate milk really has, but i would keep an eye on her and maybe call the vet just to see if he wants to bring her in. let them know how much she drank. if you caught her before she drank it all, then i would think she'll be fine. i hope she's doing okay! good luck! let us know how she is doing

| That little bit won't do any serious harm. She may get a little tummy upset and then again she may not. |

| although not by choice all of my furbabies have grabbed M&M's from time to time and I have never noticed any reaction.... Chocolate Milk has so little chocolate in it I am sure there will be no problem.... the dairy might bother her more... |

| My first yorkie when he was 2 pounds got up on a table and ate a bag of M&Ms. I was frantic. I called the vet E.R. and poison control -- they both suggested giving him a spoon of Hydrogen Peroxide, and put him in the bath tub and wait. Sure enough, it all came back up and he lived 12 years. We had to use Hydrogen Peroxide again when our big dog, Fred, ate a honey-covered firecracker. My son was going to let the firecracker get full of ants and light it but the dog grabbed it. His punishment was to follow Fred around the yard with a shovel and clean up every bit of his mess. Fred lived to be 14. |

| If he didn't drink a lot I don't think that it should hurt him. Aubrey ate some chocolate pudding that was left out and nothing happened. Not saying that anything won't happen, but I think for them to get sick it will take a lot. |
