My first yorkie when he was 2 pounds got up on a table and ate a bag of M&Ms. I was frantic. I called the vet E.R. and poison control -- they both suggested giving him a spoon of Hydrogen Peroxide, and put him in the bath tub and wait. Sure enough, it all came back up and he lived 12 years.
We had to use Hydrogen Peroxide again when our big dog, Fred, ate a honey-covered firecracker. My son was going to let the firecracker get full of ants and light it but the dog grabbed it. His punishment was to follow Fred around the yard with a shovel and clean up every bit of his mess. Fred lived to be 14. |
