| 2 New Pictures of Red Yorkie Pup Litter sorry I didn't get these on Monday....sooooo very busy! I just snapped them real quickly after Laura mentioned I didn't get them in on Monday. Too bad the "sweet hug" one isn't clear, it is sooo darn cute. The puppies are all healthy and chubby. The red ones are bigger, but they were born first (usually biggest first). Next Monday's pictures might show some opened eyes! The female red puppy's nose is no longer pink. The male (with the bigger white blaze on face) has only a little pink left to his. The red puppies both have white tips to their feet now (they were pink when born). Any questions, just ask. I think they look like little baby hippos! |

| Redheads Julz, they are so amazing! What colors are they when they are bigger...do you have a pic of an older red pup, really special ! Mine are growing too, although I am still worried about the two runts. The bigger ones are over 11 ounces at 9 days, and they are a little over 6 ounces. Should I give a supplement?

They look like they will be red when they grow up. I never knew they existed until Tiah had hers. We'll just have to wait and see. We all know the black/tn ones change, maybe these will too. It is interesting and fun to watch them grow and change.

| In regards to the supplement, I am worried about the two little ones, however, they are very lively and are moving alot. Not one of them has opened their eyes yet, have yours? (they were born on the same day, right, May 28??)

So nice to hear from you Lisa, I was wondering how your babies were doing! I would ask the vet about supplementing. Are you supplementing the Mom? Are your runts still gaining? If so, that is wonderful....they are just going to be smaller than your other ones even as adults. Hope you're having lots of fun watching them change and grow!

| It is so wonderul of you to share their growth with us. They are all adorable and very healthy which is fabulous. I like the one laying on his back. That's a sign of a healthy puppy. |

| thanks Kim, these four all lay on their backs at some time, however, the little hippos get a little frustrated when they can't get turned back over sometimes! Quite funny actually, I "puppy turn" often! LOL |

| I am giving Chloe chicken and beef four times a day (she is pooping like a great dane) but she does look a little gaunt. I am also giving her TUMS. I am trying that method someone suggested of moving the bigger ones out for about 15 minutes and letting the little ones nurse. They are gaining about 10 grams a day (sorry, don't know what that is in ounces...) but at least they are gaining. Chloe kept moving them around all night, and obviously didn't care for the cardboard box (with baby blanket) she kept chewing holes in it and yesterday I came home from work to find ALL the babies in my bed!! So now we moved her to the linen closet and she seems content "huh, finally got my own room" she says... I am weighing them every night. Will send pics as soon as camera comes home from repair shop (yes, my BRAND NEW DIGITAL CAMERA!!) is already broken because son #1 didn't know how to get the flash to pop up so he used a fork-popped up forever.(gotta post that sign of sending kids for slavery...) I think you know more that my vet, more experience, if I give supplement milk, how much, and to use a syringe or bottle??

| Puppies eyes do not open til around the 2 week period. And, Julz, I can totally appreciate the "puppy turn"..we call them stranded turtles when they kick all 4 legs and no turning..LOL |

| Hi Whispersmom, I love looking at your pictures! They are gorgous! I sure wish I knew of this forum when I was expecting my first litter. I have read so much helful info. And like Lisa just said, and experienced person is sometimes more helpful than a vet (in needing questions answered). |
