I tried the ice cubes - I have a tray that makes half size ice cubes. He was so cute, picking it up and trying to run away with it and then having to spit it out because it was too cold. I think Max is okay, and that it is the heat. I made him chicken and rice and he ate about half of it, along with little pieces of my Subway hero meat and bread. He has to actually see me bite the food on my plate, and put some into his bowl before he'll start to eat. Usually, he gets involved in his food and eats some dog food. I just kind of have to start his engine with something from my plate. After dinner, I put him into the bathtub with a little bit of tepid water and some toys to cool him down. That really helped. Now he's busily chewing on his new Jumbo Phat Flossie. I was wondering before, how do you know when a dog is better in this kind of heat? I got the answer! I had some underwear on top of a cabinet in the bathroom. He's positive that my underwear really is his property. He just lets me use it. When he jumped up about 12 times to get to it, I realized, this dog is more than likely just fine! That cabinet is about 3 feet tall. Thanks guys!

| I'm glad to hear your Max is feeling a little better. They do heat up pretty easily. It's hot hot hot where I am and my little Max is doing a lot more sleeping than usual too; he has no lethargy though when it comes to eating time though, LOL! If I don't start getting up earlier, with this heat and his being in "relax" mode, he's going to be 8 lbs too....only he'd be totally ROUND if he gained that much b/c he's not big enough to gain that much. A lot of times you can tell that they're not themselves just by how their eyes look....when they're feeling normal, their eyes are all shiny, or kind of sparkly...when they're sick, they get ....duller, I guess....just different. Keep us posted. I hate it when our little furkids don't feel good! He's really a cutie pie, BTW

| Max is much better today. He ate his cottage cheese for breakfast and would have been happy to play, but I went online. I can see that this boy may not be on dog food for much longer. He's really picky to begin with, and I think I heard it's going to be a really hot summer. Have a great day everyone,
