| ![]() i know people are against it, BUT... one of my neighbors bought that shock collar and used it only once and on the lowest setting, And it worked. Just one time that her dog got shocked and now NO MORE BARKING !!! Just another option if you are interested.. Please dont jump down my throat about this. Its just an option. |

| ![]() I would probably go crazy too if mine barked constantly! As it is now, Emmy starts the barking (when she is startled, hears someone outside, hears another dog, etc.) and then Oscar chimes in! He NEVER and I mean NEVER knows what they are barking at...he just does it 'cause his sissy is doing it! Good luck... ![]()

No jumping here.... Her bark won't set those off either... ![]() It was my vet, after the visit from Animal Controll, who suggested the collar. They thought it would be a sure fire cure! ![]()

Thats cause I'm trying to enjoy my YT time lol She's off in the window..... I won't go give her attention when she barks... it just makes it worse... normally when I ignore her she tapers down and stops... She goes for 10 to 30 mins and them stops most of the time... but gets on runs for hours sometimes.... It can get crazy! If I play into it it gets real bad! Hubby getting worked up over it used to make it REALLY bad! But we all ignore it now and it has gotten alot better. I give her treats and tons of attention when she is quite! : )

| ![]() She sounds just like Hannah, except Hannah stops barking when I tell her to. Now my maltese Bentley on the other hand is the barker, anytime he hears ANYTHING he wil start yapping. If I say "I hear something"...yap yap yap, he will start that barking. But we are working on that. I feel for you and your family, I know it can get on your nerves. Like you said, I am glad that I have Bentley instead of someone that wouldn't have the patience to deal with his barking...I am afraid that if someone else had him he might be abused.... ![]() |

| ![]() Wow, I thought Ellie was bad. Her bark is high pitched sometimes and lower other times depending on her mood. She barks out the window quite a bit and she hates the vacuum. She barks at it and bites it. It is really annoying but after reading this thread I guess I got it pretty good. I have wanted to get Ellie one of those trainers (from TV) that says no dog is untrainable to prove them wrong. ![]()

| ![]() That really makes me appreciate my girls even more. Thank goodness my girls don't bark except to "alert" and they know when I say "Thank you" it's ok to stop barking. I feel for all of you who has insistant barkers I understand it's tough to break the habit.
