I have talked about Pixies incessant barking, I have found colorful ways to describe it in the past, I have even had a couple of YT'rs experience it for themselves.... and maybe some of you have believe me when I've told the tales of how bad it is..... But you just cant know till you hear it for yourself!

Please take a moment and listen to the relentless Pixie!

In this little clip of me sitting at my computer... Pixie is in the background barking at the neighbors dog, which she can see through the glass... and she had been going at it for a good 30 minutes when I finally picked up my camera and took this little clip... and .... 20 minutes later... she is still going at it... even though the dog is LONG GONE!

I swear.... if anyone else owned this dog she would end up locked in a basement somewhere or rehomed a thousand times over! Its a darned good thing she is as cute as she is;) Even my bird, Darwin, has had enough of her barking! lol

She sounds like a kennel unto herself, LOL! Have you tried the "banging spoon on metal bowl method" yet?

Her bark is soooo high picthed that it dosen't register on the ultrisonic bark thingy's.. I bought three different kinds that you place on the table and they are supposed to go off when they bark.... NOPE! And the collars that spray that citris stuff or give off the sounds.... her bark won't set those off... its just to high pitched... its LOUD enough... just not LOW enough... :rolleyes:

I seriously concidered getting her debarked once... but decided against it. I've actually had complaints from Animal Control.... When it came time to decide who I was going to rehome between her and Paris... My husband was Praying to God that I would rehome Pixie! lol Just because of the barking! :( But not many people could deal with it.... She is my Baby and all the barking in the world won't change that!:p

Have you tried the water sprayer thingie? The pennies in a can? Time outs for barking? Boy I can certainly imagine the amount of excedrin that gets passed around in your house..loool..Now I'm reallllllllly even more impressed at your daughters grades considering the noise factor..lol

Oh wow! My Emilee has a high pitch bark too. She only barks only when she hears someone in the drive, someone comes in, and when she's playing...huh...but the high pitch drives me nuts!

I can relate with you! I can't open it here at work but I can only imagine. I have TWO that do it. Brodie and Molly. Good thing I live in the country!!!

The pennies worked for a while..... Time outs only PISS her off and make her bark more... I was solid and thought I could BREAK HER.... a week later... she broke me... lol She does not wear out.... I swear.... The water, the air, the you name it! she just BARKS! lol I have hit the point where I almost don't hear it anymore....

I think I'm PAST the point of insanity! :rolleyes: :p :rolleyes: :p :rolleyes:

My Maxie was like that. Oh I thought for sure I'd get booted out of my apartment. It was mostly when I was on the phone. Constant bark bark bark
