| I hope that things start looking up. This is a new week, and I hope that Zeke is found. My worst fear when a dog is lost is that its actually lost and not found, wondering the streets and scared of people. IF this dog actually is Zeke you can find solace that at least for now he has a roof over his head and not lost on the streets. I do hope this is Zeke and this all comes to a close. I feel so bad for Maureen because she has no local support system. You dont realize how much family and friends mean until you move away and you need a little help or a shoulder to cry on. Bad side about me being here is that I know how the people are and aside from looking on the streets for my baby, i know that if he was lost and someone found him I may as well call it a day. Be glad of what assistance that you get from the Police because here a dog would not be a priority and i somehow doubt that i would even get a police report filled. I know that when my boy was attacked the police didn't even have a procedure to file a report about that here. Good luck this week on putting a happy ending to this story. Kisses! |

| Oh my Gosh...it has been 6 weeks??? No type o I thought I read... Zeke got out on July 16th. Anyways again I'm reading these posts about the Modesto Police still not cooperating. I need to know the police officer's name that has done nothing about Maureens complaint. I also need Maureen or whom ever is in charge of contacting the police, to keep a written log on all attempted phone calls to get assistance in Zekes search. Dates, times and who you spoke with. Get a name and badge #...this will help. My dad asked me if we found Zeke yet and I told him what's been going on. He doesn't want to phone the police blind folded. He is going to need names, dates and times so he can handle this properly. As far as asking what days an officer is on duty, they have to tell us. They DON"T have to give us any personal info on an officer, like vacation time...but they can tell us when he's back on duty. I am getting frustrated here! I don't understand why hearing a dogs familiar bark isn't evidence enough to go and search the premises? I know if I heard Jack's bark, I would recognize it. Poor Maureen is probably so tired and frustrated with all the dead ends that she didn't recognize Zeke's bark. You mentioned she heard a small dogs bark...Did she recognize it as Zeke??? Please let me know so I can have dad call and try to convince someone at the department to help Maureen. |

| You wrote: "I know that when my boy was attacked the police didn't even have a procedure to file a report about that here". Isn't that a shame????? No procedure for a pet attack. We need to enforce laws and rights for our family pets. After all they are just as much part of the family as our children, husbands, siblings, etc...In my heart anyway. Our senator here in Mass is a dog friendly man. He is on several comittes for helping pets. Especially abused animals. Kat |

| We are all so worried and sick for Zeke. I want to say meeting you ladies on this chat line has been refreshing for me. I never thought people "especially strangers" could be so warm hearted and generous until I bought a Yorkie and got involved in Yorkie Groups. I have to admit, in my line of work I see how horrible this world has become. It's a dog eat dog world....parden the expression.. Everyone is out for themselves and so selfish! But you and other women on my other groups, have helped me keep faith. You're all truly wonderful and it's a pleasure to know you ....even if it's just online. I am blessed to be surrounded by such good spirited people here! Love Kat & Jack |

I am hoping that the new week will bring new updates to the force, and they will get an investigator or Dective on the case. It's crazy we are trying for the last 6 weeks to solve this case over this forum, I thank the Lord for all the ideas, prayers, gifts, support, but it is totally unfair, that we can not get an officer to give us a hand when we have so many great clues!!!!!!! Thank you for all your possitive input, you are a great addition to this Thread. We all appreciate all you are willing to do for us to help get this puppy home.

We leave on Friday for our trip. All I want before I go is for Zeke to be found. I also lit another candle this morning, and the wish I wrote was a prayer that the brightness of its flame would light up the path that would lead Zeke home. Jeannie and Kat, you can find the link here to Zeke's candle group: http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/...?l=eng&gi=Zeke Maureen, I hope the ear is all cured by today. Kat1york, I think it is an excellent idea for your Dad to light a fire under the Modesto PD. Lori, bless you for what you do for so many of us, and now with that new little guy you are fostering. Kathy, did you come across any new ToyBoys this weekend....HHHmmmmm?? Sheilagh, hope you have a lekker week! Hugs to you all, my amazing YT friends, Lauren

| Donna, my dad adopted me when I was 7 yrs. young... He brought me to this country from Greece. He was stationed in Greece during his time in the military... I am very close to him. He is the nices dad any girl could dream of. I am very lucky! When mom & dad divorced, dad fought for custody of me and won. Unfortunately, mom has been absent most of my life. But I still love her and understand. Some women just don't have maternal instincts. Yes, dad is interested in this because he knows how much it means to me. Plus he loves Jack deeply..... He and my Jack are very close to. He has taken Jack fishing and believe it or not, Deer Hunting. Jack especially likes bird watching with grampa...lol Prayers for Zeke!!!!!!!!!! |

| Sorry I have missed so much... My husband took my charger to work with him yesterday and my computer was completely dead Last night I sat out front of the 2 suspected houses...Let me back up a little. Yesterday I had a few things I had to do, so each time I left one place to go to another we stoped at the houses and my son and my nephew knock on the doors. There was never an answer, then the third time we drove by there was a car out front, this was the first time I had ever seen any sign of life at either of those home, so they knocked and someone finally answered. There was NO bark, no sign of a dog. They asked for Robert and when the lady said sorry no one here by that name my nephew said ok thank you then yelled ZEEK!! Ok back to last night... I sat in front of the homes waiting and watching. The house that had the car in front earlier in the day pulled in the driveway again. I watched them get out and knock on the door. They were family or friends because they hugged and lingered in the open doorway. The light from the porch and the street light was enough for me to see inside the house. The curtains on the front window were sheer and pulled back, I could see quite clearly. With guards down they would have let "the dog" run freely or he would have been with them in the front room... but there was no dog to be seen. I do not think this is the grandmothers house. After all this I noticed the other home had lights on... I had never seen it with life before and I wanted so bad to go inside. It was late, about 9:00, so I figured knocking with a fake excuse would not work at this time of night. I continued to sit and think about Zeke running around in that house, he was so close... I gathered all my courage and knocked on the door, I had no idea what I would say, I figured I would come up with something if they answered, but again no answer. I was able to see in the front window because like the first house this one also had sheer curtains on the windows. With the light shining inside the home and none outside it allowed me to see in. But there was nothing. As I walked away the neighbors pulled into their drive way. I just had to know, I was tired of suspecting without facts to accompany my thoughts, so I went up to the neighbors. I asked if they had noticed a small dog in or around the house, they said no. They continued to tell me that there was no way they would have a dog because they would not be able to care for it. They proceeded to tell me that the couple is very old and the man has Alzheimer's and the wife does what she can to care for him but she is also in failing health. The man has fallen often and the ambulance has had to come to his aid. So this home is definitely not housing Zeke. I do not think either one of these homes are the elusive grandmothers. So I am back to searching for her house... I feel like little red ridding hood Sorry for the length... I think this is the longest post I have ever written |
