Sorry I have missed so much... My husband

took my charger to work with him yesterday and my computer was completely dead
Last night I sat out front of the 2 suspected houses...Let me back up a little. Yesterday I had a few things I had to do, so each time I left one place to go to another we stoped at the houses and my son and my nephew knock on the doors.
There was never an answer, then the third time we drove by there was a car out front, this was the first time I had ever seen any sign of life at either of those home, so they knocked and someone finally answered.
There was NO bark, no sign of a dog. They asked for Robert and when the lady said sorry no one here by that name my nephew said ok thank you then yelled ZEEK!!
Ok back to last night... I sat in front of the homes waiting and watching. The house that had the car in front earlier in the day pulled in the driveway again. I watched them get out and knock on the door. They were family or friends because they hugged and lingered in the open doorway. The light from the porch and the street light was enough for me to see inside the house. The curtains on the front window were sheer and pulled back, I could see quite clearly. With guards down they would have let "the dog" run freely or he would have been with them in the front room... but there was no dog to be seen. I do not think this is the grandmothers house.
After all this I noticed the other home had lights on... I had never seen it with life before and I wanted so bad to go inside. It was late, about 9:00, so I figured knocking with a fake excuse would not work at this time of night. I continued to sit and think about Zeke running around in that house, he was so close... I gathered all my courage and knocked on the door, I had no idea what I would say, I figured I would come up with something if they answered, but again no answer. I was able to see in the front window because like the first house this one also had sheer curtains on the windows. With the light shining inside the home and none outside it allowed me to see in. But there was nothing.
As I walked away the neighbors pulled into their drive way. I just had to know, I was tired of suspecting without facts to accompany my thoughts, so I went up to the neighbors. I asked if they had noticed a small dog in or around the house, they said no. They continued to tell me that there was no way they would have a dog because they would not be able to care for it. They proceeded to tell me that the couple is very old and the man has Alzheimer's and the wife does what she can to care for him but she is also in failing health. The man has fallen often and the ambulance has had to come to his aid. So this home is definitely not housing Zeke.
I do not think either one of these homes are the elusive grandmothers. So I am back to searching for her house... I feel like little red ridding hood
Sorry for the length... I think this is the longest post I have ever written
