I am home just for a few minutes, so catching up again.
Maureen, I am so sorry Hon, that you have an ear infection on top of everything else.. I hope the meds have kicked in and you are feeling much better. I cannot believe that Nickerson has not called you back!! Perhaps you should take the *67 suggestion when dialing again.

Jeannie, you also feel better Hon and give your Pooky Pots a smush for me. As always, you give Maureen such excellent advice! Having Galatea monitor any conversations with the police is well advised.

I will be getting home tonight after the rehearsal dinner quite late, but will try and check in again for any news. I am thinking of Zeke all the time and praying that the end of his ordeal is just about over.

in the places that the flyers or being taken down is there a big billboard like you see on the highway.. there is s dog that was stolen in gulf shores alabama and they have taken out a add on a billboard. no one can tear those down, this also caught the eye of local television reporters. now it's all over the news. I am trying to think of something we haven't thought of that might make the theft a little nervous so they will make a mistake .

Yes we did talk about a billboard, and it was decided for the price...the fliers and posters would reach more people. I personally thought it was a great idea, and one I would have done if I were Maureen, but funds are somewhat limited, and she wanted to get the most bang for the buck. Of course at that time we knew nothing of the possibility that Zeke may be in a certain neighborhood...so on the highway was suggested.

Is there any way to contact the apartment management...without stating a reason why, but just to ask if pets are allowed? Just a thought...Because if no pets are allowed, she is obviously hiding him very well...Nobody will be able to spot him, as she won't simply walk out her door with him on a leash. She most likely carries him in a bag, which would make it near impossible to see him without actually following her some where and see if she takes him out of the bag.
Maureen have you been able to contact galatea...and has she gotten ahold of the officer yet, God why does everything have to take so long...
Have to go back now and read all the posts I've missed today...BRB!!!

i have been following this thread and saying prayers for the safe return of Zeke..was hoping to see a status on the police officer etc...God this is so nerve wrecking cause I know in my heart that Zeke will be coming home..This thread is too powerful with caring people not to have a happy ending!!!! Will check back and Maureen know my prayers will continue til Zeke comes home..wish i was closer to help but prayers will definetly help!!!

"My wish is for FULL cooperation from the authorities and for them to feel that "tug" at their heart saying "This IS the right thing to do"

Hi Kathy Girl!!!!

I just got in, and wanted to let you know, that I think it is best for Maureen to contact Galatea first, fill her in on everything, I had her make a list so that she does it in the proper order and does not forget anything,

Than I suggested that Galatea contact Officer Nickerson, and let him know that she is representing Maureen in the case of Missing ZEKE, She is the one that he will respect and she will stand up to him, she has the knowledge, the power, and the will not to let this officer get away without getting Zeke back, she knows all the proper steps and will advise Maureen well, I think that Maureen has enough on her mind, and she is so raw from all this, that I think it is very important that she has Galatea more or less take over for her if she has the time.

I know she had a case thurs. and a trail on Fri. I also know we can count on Galatea to help Maureen, Maureen has left a message for her to please contact her when she can, and I know she will, as I feel we can count on Galatea 100%, she has just been wonderful already.

I don't think she will stand for any excuses from Officer Nickerson, he failed us once, she knows that, and she said she is not going to let him fail us again.

If Galatea thinks she has enough information and proof that the officer needs to get 3 search warrants, she would be able to convince the police officer better than Maureen, he has taken advantage of Maureen when she was at her weakest, he can not get away with that with Galatea, If Galatea thinks we have enough sound evidence to get the warrent without a PI, then she will advise Maureen as such.

If she feels we should get the PI on board, she will also advise Maureen to do that. Having her in our corner making sound decisions is truly a blessing from above.

I am so thrilled that she is offering to help. We have to know she has a very busy schedule, as I caught her at 12:30 in the evening and we went back and forth till 2:30, and the information she gave me was profound!!!!!!! We could have really botched it up without her help!!!!!!

So we all have to sit back and wait for Galatea to be able to get back to Maureen, and then Maureen can talk to Officer Nickerson, AFTER Maureen and she are on the same page, Maureen asks Officer Nickerson to please contact her lawyer Galatea, who is representing her, and we will go from their, if she can get Officer Nickerson to understand that we need 3 search warrants, than he will go to the Judge and get the warrants and we will go over there with a Spanish speaking officer, and Maureen to Identify the puppy, and hopefully Galatea.

I want those Officers to impose on the people who have their dog that they have committed a felony, as signs have been posted all over their area and were imposable for anyone not to see. I really think this will set a precedence, and maybe keep these people from stealing these yorkies every chance they get!!!!

I am praying with all my strength that this will all work very smoothly and we could have the warrants by Mon. and Zeke back in Maureen's arms, never to leave again.

If Galantea thinks we do not have enough evidence to convince a judge to get the search warrants, than we will have to bring the PI on board, and have him do his surveillance and take pictures. This should not take much time, as we have all the addresses.

It is sad we have to do all this waiting, but we have to abide by the law, and the steps we have to take will take some time yet.

So please keep the prayers and gifts coming, hopefully we will know a lot more after Maureen feels Galantea in on where she is now, and brings her up to date, than the Officer contacts Galantea, as she is representing Maureen, it will be handled in a very powerful and professional way. The Officer will be saying Yea Ma'am to Galantea, and will not try to get away or out of doing his job this time.

We will have to work on Galantea's schedule, she is a very busy lawyer, but it will come to pass, so just keep praying, be patient, and send gifts in case we need the PI. God Bless All of YOU!!!!!!!!

But don't you think the PI could provide very useful information for galatea to use to convince the police officer that this is serious, we are serious...and proof of the dog being at one place or the other...would seal the deal.
Maureen, how are the gifts coming along...I'm sure we could still use more, but do we have a good start?
And what about the point I mentioned earlier, about the apartment complex...is it pet friendly...or is she hiding this dog (maybe Zeke) very well? It should be easy enough to call and ask them, as if your interested in an apartment there, but have a pet...and do they allow pets.

Or you could try having someone else call and be anonymous not saying what they are calling about in case he is trying to be mean and avoid your calls. That way he wont think it is you calling about his help and he might return that call if he is in. I dunno how he is...just a suggestion. Lol.

the only way I can call is to leave a voice mail... he has never given me a direct line I can only leave messages and when I call the station they transfer me to his voicemail.

Kathy, Of course I do, I would kill to have a PI on board right now, and I know he would be a great help to Galetea, I think the problem is the money.

I wish we could have had one on board yesterday!!!!! I really do not think it would take that long to wrap this up with him. We would have the proof we need to get the search warrants from the Judge, and believe me, the officer would know how serious we are. He needs to get off his butt and help us!!!!! So as always I agree with everything you suggest and say!!!! We are both on the same page!!!!!!! On Everything!!!!!! Hey, we have names and addresses, this is crazy the last name given to Maureen and she went to the apt. and knocked on the door and heard a dog barking in a muffled bark like he was locked in a back bedroom so he could not be heard. Which also means he can not be seen!!!!! iF mAUREEN CAN NOT SEE HIM FROM THE FRONT DOOR, THE OFFICER CAN NOT ASK THE LADY TO BRING THE DOG FORWARD TO ID, SHE DOES NOT EVEN HAVE TO TALK TO THE OFFICER AT ALL!!!!!!!! That is why we do not go their without Search Warrants. Also the people's last name starts with a M, and a M was being used as a matt withthe letter M. and she had a Tahoe, parked in the front of the house, and that is what they named the dog!!!!! Maureen said the two houses even had the same curtains, with the same labels, no way of seeing in the back yard, or through any of the windows, so a search warrant is a must!!!!!!! And the best way to conVince the judge, is with the information the PI can give the Police Officer to give to the judge.
