I second this idea...And yes a man would be nice, but a woman (not you Maureen) would be less intimidating. Would you allow a strange man into your home to use the phone? Don't think I would.

A woman would be less suspicious. I personally would let a woman in my home before a strange man. Possibly see if even a vet would let us borrow a microchip scanner. I know my dogs follow me in the bathroom all the time. Do they make small scanners that can be easily concealed in a pocket or purse??

I just came back, Dear Lord, PLEASE let this be ZEKE, Please Lord, Please, Please, I have a really goooooooooooood feeling, you guys, all that I can do is pray right now, and believe me the prayers and truffles are doing thier thing!!!!!!!

I am on pins and needles till we hear from Maureen and her Dad!!!!!!! , I just know it is ZEKE, i just know it is.

I Pm'd Maureen about your offer Deb...I explained to her that I feel as though I know you and that you can be trusted to do the right thing...after all this is a Yorkie we're talking about, and I know how much you love your own. This really could be the chance to find out if there really is a Yorkie there and whether or not it COULD be Zeke.

Yes it would surely give a good shot of atleast getting in to see what the inside situation is like. I can also stake the place out first, then possibly see if they work on Monday too. We really need to get a better idea of their schedule once we can confirm theres a Yorkie inside or not. I have a few other ideas as well.

We could go knocking door to door like only a few houses to make it look good,lol. Then go knock on theirs with a flyer in hand saying we are going around the neighborhood passing out flyers. Who knows how they will react to it, but as we all know Yorkies do tend to run out the front door when its opened. I could keep it open accidently and let their dog out far enough to catch it and get a good close look.

Ty for such a wonderful compliment hun. I am always honest and treat people as though I want to be treated. I love Yorkies and most of all any living breathing thing or things.

All I know is if it were my missing dog I would be greatful for any and all help, so I'm offering to do what I can. I know how hard it must be to be thinking your so close and yet so far. I just want to know for sure if they have a Yorkie or not. I would hate to think we are wasting our time with them if he could be elsewhere. I mean geez even if the police don't want to get invloved perhaps if we have more conclusive information then they will have to assist more.

the woman passed away with her Reggie at her side - he was returned to her after 6 months. So never give up hope!!! Someone with a good heart in the right place will do the right thing...

I am sure the officer in charge will listen to a lawyer and a PI, much more than he will listen to Maueen, Maureen is so raw from all this and hurt, that it is so good to have Galatea and a Pi on board to take some of the pressure and put the pressure where it belongs on the officer!!!!!!!!! I hate to tell you, if it is ZEKE he than is a stolen dog, as posters are everywhere in that area, and the grandson identified the dog, and they haven't bothered to return him for the reward, that is a felony harboring a stolen animal!!!!! That stolen animal cost over 1300.00, so the police should take this very seriously!!!!! We are on this forum to stay positive, and positive it will be, we will not tolerate anyone telling us anything negative, or doing anything to put a negative line around this very important case. We are not the bad guys here!!!!!!

Thanking you for sticking up for Zeke and all of us here who feel just the same. We have our heart, body and soul in this case, and we will get ZEKE back home where he belongs, hell or high water!!!!!!!!!!! He will be returned to Maureen and justice will be served!!!!!!!! It's not o.k. for some one to pick up a lost yorkie or any dog, and keep it without putting an add in the paper, and believe me they have seen the posters and they know what they are doing, they are committing a felony by not returning ZEKE!!!!! We are not the bad guys here, may I make that clear. We have not accused or slandered anyone, we are not that dumb. However we do have a right to do everything in our power to get Zeke back, and we are following the law, I can't say the same for the people who STOLE ZEKE!!!!!!!!!

Maureen Pm'd me, she appreciates your offer, she said she has knocked on the door many times, with no answer. But if you are willing to give it a shot, I'm behind you all the way...cheering you on!!!
I wonder if they know who Maureen is...and intentionally not answering the door. Or God forbid no one actually lives there, and they are just hiding the dog there...but why???
Someone should go door to door with flyers, I think Maureen may have already done that too.
How can we find out who actually owns this property...and whether or not this woman is renting...and if so, are pets allowed???
