I just wanted to add one more thing. I've gone back and read all the posts made by kat1york. Every word she says I agree with. Perhaps it is time for her Dad to make a call to Modesto police. At least HE seems to have empathy for this situation.

Reggie lived with us for the next 11 years, but the moral of the story is....

the woman passed away with her Reggie at her side - he was returned to her after 6 months. So never give up hope!!! Someone with a good heart in the right place will do the right thing...

I Just wanted to let you all Know I got a call from Maureen she is on her way to Look at a pup. That May be Zeke. she got a call from a man (mexican) Her dad is going with her I have to leave the house but she will call me as soon as she knows .

To address the lazy cop theory...Yes this is true.
My dad is a Det. and he knows a few too many with that attitude.
But he also knows some that go above the call of duty to help out.
Unfortunately, the bad out weigh the good.

She is a US citizen and taxpayer and has rights to.
It's not like she accused some innocent Grandmother without any leads.
She has 2 major leads.
The man who witnessed Zeke in the area and the 2 flaky spanish women that contacted her and admitted to having Zeke.
Christ, what else does she need???
I"m somehow convinced that little Modesto isn't a high crime area.
If the Boston police can retrieve a missing pet in 72 hours and trust me..."Boston is full of overwhelming unsolved crimes"...
What is Modestos Police Departments Problem??????
Maybe that's why these people who have Zeke aren't worried...They probably know the cops won't do anything, after all it's just a dog!
Bulls**t!!!!!!!! Don't let me come there and start.
They wouldn't like it one bit.
My first stop would be to the police station waving law suits against them., for not doing their jobs.
They took an oath to protect and serve.
So get on it!

Last nigh was crazy busy!!!!!!!!!!
I graduated college with a Bachelors in Political Science, but somehow fell into the Food & Beverage industry. lol
Go figure.......
I am disappointed to see Zeke isn't home yet.
This is moving like molasses....Or I'm just in a hurry to get Zeke home with his mommy.

I think it is crazy that officer Nickerson is the only one that c an deal with this case!!!! He is on 4 days and off 4 days, surly he has some important case loads that have to be attented to while he is off. I called and got a lady named Susan, I left a message for her to please return my call, hopefully she will and we will find the reason Officer Nickerson is not responding, maybe he got fired???????? He sure botched our case, I am sure we are not the first. He may be no longer their. Or maybe he got transfored, Their has to be a reason he is not returning our calls, and I think it is because he is not their or working this week, he could be on vacation for all we know.

Maybe with Galantea and the PI, we should try to get another officer involved who will get on top of this case and get Zeke home before 2008!!!!!! As I have said a million times, time is a wasting!!!!!!

I really do not think he is there. Maureen called dispatch and they would not tell her when he will be back on duty.

He is good about calling when he is on duty.

I think we need a new officer to go along with our wonderful Lawyer Galantea and the PI we are bringing on board. He can't be the only officer in the world we have to deal with.

Gosh it is so hard to drag myself away from theis post, but I have to get busy, I will be back on line, after 4o, and hopefully Maureen and Galantea will have a great plan all worked out!

Before bashing the police, please consider the work load they have. YES, finding Zeke is important...to you/us...BUT more important to the police is finding the child who went missing, or catching that murderer, molester, drug dealer, or abuser. By the way, what would a PI do that can't be done by anyone else, regarding this case?

I am sorry that people in here want to make the above post seem like its negative just because it goes against the grain of the "dreamers" in here.

This poster had the same concerns as i did you you all have no right to speak down to them for posting their opinion. A lot of what i was saying was based on the fact that I had no clue that Maureen had just moved. that makes things much more difficult. That also answers the posters question:

and you see u don't have to be rude because someone is probing for more information so that they can better understand the situation.

This is the way i see it. Most people in here are sympathizing with Maureen. and thinking on the irrational side of things because usually even if it was a lost child you are willing to do every extreme thing possible to find your lost child in this case a dog.

I am sorry but I have 3 family remembers in the police force in Nebraska, and YESSSS they are busy.

You all can be some of the sweetest people in the world in here, but when it comes to mob mentality and making trying to make someone feel like crap for not thinking the same way u do , your really good as well.

Why not take the time and have a discussion, even if it means you have to answer the same thing twice. I thought the whole point of this thread was to help Maureen spread the word about Zeky in hopes of getting him back. I have always been picked in my life and will always take up for someone getting picked on cause it doesn't feel good being the target.

take the time out to help people understand instead of trying to make them feel like crap.. cause Zeky is more important to Maureen than that petty stuff you all are dishing.

if you all jump on me i really don't care, but getting out information to people who want to help with money prayers and whatever is more important than what i have seen happening.

I dont know u Maureen but I say a prayer for you every night and i do hope ur health gets better with all you have to deal with already.

I pray she gets Zeke back soon. I sure wish there was a way we could steal the dog and take it to get scanned for the microchip. if its Zeke then things would be proven and if it isnt take their dog back and appologize. Oh well since thats dishonest and we could get into way too much trouble doing that, I will sit here and pray Zeke is returned.

But I have to admit it sounded good in my head at first till the logical side took over with all the honesty issues.
