My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | You'll never guess where I rescued a baby bird from! Molly's mouth !!!!! From my posts you may know that Molly is my little "gets into everything girl". She is always into something! Oh, she's my little girl who tackled the snake and got bit on the nose! Well she had this tiny bird in her mouth when I let them out on my lunch. I chased her down and got it. I didn't know what to do with it, and unfortunatley I have too much on my plate to take the little one in so I know there's a nest in my birdhouse so I put it in there since its the only place it could have fallen from????? Unless there are nests in the trees. I'm just hoping I picked the right place for the little birdy. Hopefully it will be safe and live!!! |

| Oh dear, Molly dosen't miss a trick does she? I am sure the little bird will be ok in the nest. His mommy will find him. Amazing how their instincts remain with them after being domesticated for so many years. Buddy almost got a rabbit last evening in my daughter's yard last night. I almost had a heart attack on the sport. When the rabbit got away he finds the rabbit hatch with the little babies in it. I went over to see why he was circleing in one area and oh my heavens the little bunnies were down in the hole under some dried grass. I grapped him and ran in the house. I won't allow him in the yard until they are gone. Glad you were able to save the bird. |

| Armadillo and rabbit Emmy has been chasing both of these in the early evening when her daddy takes her out to potty!!! Thank goodness she is on a leash or the other animals wouldn't have a chance of outrunning her!

| my friend found a bird at work one time and she took it home, and then called the local law enforcement agency and they put her touch with and animal rehabilitator. They came and pick the bird up and took care of it and released it when the time was right. So you might try to call if it's still there when you get home. |

| It might not be okay...a lot of times, the mother bird will abandon her fallen baby if it has the human scent. She won't even know its hers, especially if its accidentaly put in the wrong nest. Try doing what Kelly353 suggested, or you could take care of it yourself, its not as hard as you probably think. Just buy baby bird food for a few dollars at the pet store, an syringe feed him 3-5 times a day depending on how old it is. Sometimes they make it, sometimes they don't but if the momma bird doesn't show up in a few hours, she probably never will...

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | And I should add that its a fenced in area, so it just narrows it down to the birdhouse in the fenced in area that it came from. Unless.....it was from a nest in one of the trees |
