| ![]() Has anyone heard of this? A friend of mine took her baby to the Humane Society to him microchipped (they were offering free microchipping for hurricane preparations). The told her that he would be registered with 24PetWatch and the registration is free. I just checked out the website (not completely) and I don't know if the it's legit. Has anyone ever heard of this? |

| ![]() It says that the registration is free for all brands of microchips so does this mean that they use the universal scanner? |

| ![]() We got all 3 of our Yorkies chipped with 24. My vet said it was not the company that the chip is made by but the protection it gives the dog and you as the owner that is important. I was a little suprised that I can feel the chip on the shoulders right below the skin, but again the vet said that being able to feel the chip is normal. I feel that if I do lose one of my precious babies that I will have a good chance of getting him/her back with the chip. So go get your baby chipped....it does give you a little peace of mind!

| ![]() I haven't heard of 24 either. Personally I would register with Home Again. I had my new kitten chipped with Home Again and registered Lacy's AVID chip with Home Again at the same time. I've heard so much about them, they are all over the radio and tv with the ads, and it seems like they are becoming very widely used. My vet recently switched to Home Again from AVID because it was being requested so much. I think Home AGain is pretty cool too - you can edit info at any time on their website, and if your pet goes missing they instantly send out alerts to shelters, vets, and rescue groups in your area and will even send you a LOST dog poster.

| ![]() Artie is microchipped with the AKC. Recovery Program. Abigail and Tiffany Aloha are both microchipped with 24hr/Petwatch which was through our local Humane Society. From what I understand whether your dogs are lost or stolen they will eventually end up in a Shelter or Vetrinary's Clinic where they will be scanned and regardless of the Orginization that they are "Registered" with? The microchip is universally scanned or read. But your personal information should be constantly updated so it is current. God forbid if anything did happen, at least I am relieved to know that they are able to be tracked electronically? Besides they only charged $20.00, and through my Vet. it was more expensive. Sometimes you can feel it under their skin. Better safe than sorry! |

| ![]() We had our 3 chipped at Yorkie Fair with 24 Pet Watch. I went onto the website last week and entered all of their personal info online. I received a letter of confirmation this week for each of them. I hope we'll never need to test if they work or not.
