| I'm THRILLED!! Tomorrow I finally get Kalina! Even though I have "owned" Kalina for 8 weeks now, I haven't actually been in possession of her. Tomorrow I will fly to Indiana to get her and bring her home...FINALLY!! I couldn't be more excited. My plane leaves at 8AM and I'll arrive in Indianapolis at 10AM. At first I was having her "sent" but I couldn't stand the thought of her tiny little self being put into the cargo hold. Also, the breeder told me it has been too hot there to ship puppies. Well, I couldn't stand it so I used up my miles and tomorrow I'll finally get to hold her. YAY!!

| What a excellent way to start bonding with Kalina (I love that name). You're going to be a great Mom to your furbaby! Good luck with the trip!

| My breeder is in Norman Indiana. If you want more information I can PM you. When I was in Florida I contacted Raymond Antanucci who has the Parquin Yorkies and he put me in touch with her. He told me she is trustworthy and serious and she has been wonderful. I had a Yorkie many years ago and he was just the best dog ever. I'm super excited.

| I'll be spending 4 hours at the airport between flights. Any advice on how to use this time with a puppy? I'm especially concerned with feeding (water too) and potty breaks.

He slept on the flights to Chicago - I couldn't take him out there, the airport is too big; he slept to DC National, and then I grabbed a taxi and got to my Dad's by 10pm. He ate and drank then, no worse for wear, but boy, that first night was a short one, he cried and cried. I had them give me something from his littermates or mother (turned out to be a pink blanket.) It was so clean looking, I doubt if it actually had their scent on it at all. The breeder was just humoring me. But for weeks, I would put something of mine from the laundry basket (NOT undies). In four nights, he was sleeping thru. Sorry this was so long, it was just in March and still fresh in my mind. | |
