| ![]() Mine doesn't wear a collar or any kind of name tag at all. I had it on him about 7-8 months ago and for some odd reason he always get reverse sneezing or seem like he's choking when he had the collar on. So..no more collar unless we go outside. I think if you're afraid of the collar getting caught onto things maybe you can try using a cat collar because when it gets stuck, it comes undone by itself, which I think is safer. |

| ![]() Winston does not wear a collar at home, only when we leave the house. Our house is very secure you have to go thru 3 doors to get out, and he does not run away...he'll just lay down...and wait. Good Boy!!! I do like the idea of using a medical alert on a tag, and the reward option is also great. We may be making new tags real soon...

| ![]() The only time I take Riley's off are when he's in the bath. He's always had one on and has never had any problems. I have a stray at my house right now, who had no tags (and no microchip). If he had tags, he would be home already. Also, once I lost Riley for a night (the worst night of my life!!!). And because of his tags, I got him back. |

| ![]() In Pennyslvania it is illegal not to have the dog tags on at all times, but I don't listen to it. However, we have had no luck with collars whatsoever. Vinnie is 4lbs. and very, and I stress VERY skinny! We got a completely adjustable x-small one, that we ended up having to cut off him because within 5 minutes he worked it loose and got it stuck in his mouth and totally panicked! Of course Mommy was pretty scared to death too! That one also had the plastic, male/female end closure, not sure of the technical name. We also have another one that's completely adjustable, but he can take it off, and there is always too much end hanging off, but we can't cut it because it would just fray. I feel guilty too because he has 3 tags and they drive him crazy! We have the permanent license, the microchip tag and the rabies tag, it's a lot for the little guy!

| ![]() Autumn always has a collar on unleash she is in her crate. My pug however freaks out if anything is around his neck. I guess because pugs really don't have much of a neck. ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Chico and Benji wear their collars and tags all the time (Benji's is a safety breakaway kitten collar). Their tags are like a fashion statement for them since they run around naked all the time. They LOVE their "doggy bling"! At first it seemed like a hassle with Benji because he is still being crated, but after a few days it became routine. Put it on, snap it off, put it back on, snap it off again. It's all worth it though. I would be miserable without my babies.

![]() I've never quite understood what the fear is with having them wear a collar anyway. | |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | ![]() That is a good collar. I never thought of it. I like it. I am not sure if I could get one to fit lulu. She is only 2.5 lbs at 8 months old.

| ![]() You can have it in custom length. They make medical bracelets even for small babies. I ordered one because I needed bigger one then the regular length. My furkid is big. Some people can order just a plate and put it on a silk cord or more fancier bracelet (that is my next intention, to make him like say "diamond" bracelet with id plate ![]() |
