I was looking into this a while ago when my yorkie's baby teeth were not coming out and this is what I found:

Same here, I can't even look into Maxwell's mouth when he's sleeping, he'll wake up and go berserk.

Haha I have one of those floss sticks, and he is such a good boy. He just hangs out on his back for a good flossing cause he knows brushing comes next and he LOVES his toothpaste...lol

Bentley is the only one of my dogs who had "doubles". He had one double canine that I had removed when he turned one year and it hadn't come out. He had local anestetic *sp* and was no worse for the wear afterwards...

My vet told me it's really bad for their gums and dental health to leave them like that.
