| Your babies and their carriers? First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it! Well, we have finally purchased a great carrier for our Luna. One problem, she hates it! She fidgets around in it and we feel so bad because she seems to want to get out but since she is zippered in she has no way out. I was wondering if there was any proper way to introduce her to her bag or will she just get use to it over time? I know some of your babies love their carriers and I only wish Luna would feel the same way about hers. Thanks in advance for your help!

| Try luring her into her carrier with a treat, or put her in and give her a treat...leave the door open the first few times. Oscar loved his from the get go. We got him at 6 weeks and it was comforting to him I think. He has one for home and one for travel. The one for home is hard plastic and the travel one is mesh zippered. He has a little donut sherpa fleece bed that I put in which ever carrier he is in...that is familiar to him...that and his favorite stuffed animal..."moose" goes everywhere Oscar goes...Number one thing to remember, make it a positive experience. It should never be used in a negative manner. Good luck with getting Luna used to her new carrier...soon it will be a happy place for her. |

| Yup, the treat is the way to go. If you give Luna Greenies, maybe throw a Greenie in there to entice her to enjoy her new home. Also, sometimes the more they get used to it the better, my Yoda absolutely hated carriers and would always scratch whine bark, etc at first, now he travels like a champ, because he just knows we get to go somewhere fun! |

| Thank you all for your great advice!! Yesterday we went for our first long trip with Luna. We used lots of treats and praise when she would go in her bag. She behaved so great! I didn't zip her up completely when we'd get off at a store. I let her pop her head out on the top part of the bag. The carrier has a little leash attachment in the inside to attach the collar to for saftey, it's a wonderful feature. The bag is such a disguise! We even took Luna to a resturant. No one could tell she was with us, they all thought it was my handbag. A lady even came up to me, at a store, and goes that is such a beautiful bag... then I let Luna pop her head out and she was so surprised! LOL It was a great experience, Luna can definately go out with us again. P.S. We also took her to grandma's. While there I tried teaching her to get in her bag on command and it worked when I had treats in my hand. It was so hilarious. I'd say, "Luna, in your bag" and she would go in her bag and sit staring at me as if wanting her treat. LOL it was adorable. Well, here were the results for yesterday's car ride back home, you be the judge... do you think she liked it? hehe.

| Treats go a long way with these little beggars! But I think it has more to do with how smart they are and how much they want to please us! I am so glad Luna loves her bag now and that is was a positive experience for her! Now you two can have many more great outings to look forward to! Thanks for the pics...she is a doll!!! |

| Looks like Luna gave her carrier "two paws up"!! What kind of bag and where did you find it! I bought Toto one for the flight up to Colorado and made sure I had it well in advance. I just casually put it on the den floor with the top and the front unzipped ... just let her sniff it for a few days. Then I would put a treat in the back of it or a favorite toy ... anything that she would go in there to retrieve. Gradually I would put her favorite blankie in there and told her to "kennel up" like we do when we are going out. I would close the front and take her on short trips ... across the street to Granny's house, to the mailbox, etc. Before I knew it ... when she would see me getting dressed to go out she would run and get in the carrier and wait for me!! We leave it sitting somewhere on the floor with the front unzipped and it has become her little refuge!! She runs to it as her "safe place" when she has been naughty and sits in there peeping out at us!! We always remove her from the front and although we leave the top unzipped, it's as if she doesn't realize that she can get out that way ... she always comes and goes through the front!!

| LOL! I love when you all share the way your babies are... it's so adorable to me that they are so smart... well actually it amazes me! Toto is one smart cookie, since she is able to recognize that by seeing you getting dressed already means going out. I got Luna's carrier at a store here in Miami called "Faux Paws". I'm not sure if they have a website or not. I will look for it and post it if I find it. I'm not sure what you mean by what kind of bag? I can take pictures of it and you can tell me lol, I'm not too good with carriers and their brands, etc. lol

| Bettyeanne: Alright, I found that they do have a website. http://www.fauxpawsmiami.com/ the bag we got for Luna is this one: http://www.fauxpawsmiami.com/products/carriers/1.htm Not sure if it will take you directly to the bag of the main carrier link. If it doesn't it's the first leather tote but in beige/tan color. Hope that helps!

| FunkieMunkie ... thanks for the link!! In the pictures it looked smaller than the ones I have ... going to the site to check measurements. I like to hold Toto as close to me as I can and her "favorite" right now isn't all that comfortable for me!

| Well the carrier I got for her now she loves, obviously as you can see in the pictures. I tell her get in your bag and she waits there sitting lol, it's so cute! However, I think I need to adjust the straps because it somehow doesn't feel right on my shoulder. Other than that the bag is pretty handy, it has a bunch of pockets and the inside is lined with plastic... really good so that it doesn't get dirty!

| OOH! Too expensive for me, I think I will make one like Orinskye put on the forum. It looks like it would work well. But that one is a great bag, I have to say that! No wonder she likes it. |
