this is funny cause i was telling my friend the other day once you have 3 dogs pretty much nothing is gross anymore ................

I am guilty of all of this too. Like everybody says what are doggie germs. I wouldn't do any of this with my outside dogs, but Shooter and Emma are my babies. Shooter is way more into giving kisses than Emma. We all three eat honey nut cheerios together.

I LOVE kissies!!!!! Everyone I know thinks it is absolutely disgusting, but I cannot help it!!!!! The thing is, I am known to be anal retentive when it comes to cleanliness....but not when it comes to my babies! Nothing they can do grosses me out....unless they eat a bug and I see it...

My boyfriend gives me a hard time, he says things like "you know he probably just licked his butt", I guess I just don't care. The love and kissies outweighs that.....After I get kissies from my babies, I grab my boyfriend and plant one on him...heh!

...I am guilty of all the above x5, as I have 5 furbabies. When they all start giving kisses at once I have to stop them to come up for air every now and then. And yes I am guilty of pulling poo off a few butts barehanded myself. My Kylie will stay in the poo stance till someone comes to rescue her, when she has some stuck. When we were over my mother's house for a visit one time and she saw me do this I thought she was going to be sick, I was like mother this is no different than wiping a babies butt and somehow your finger slips into the poop, she disagrees.

I do that too! My boyfriend gets soooo grossed out and refuses to kiss me...

It is true..your furbaby can get sick if your sick and he/she is kissing you or you are talking to them face to face. My poor babies have caught tonsilits from me a couple of times. I try to remember not to let them lick me, but sometimes they get in a few licks.

Surely not...At my house we are both guilty of all of the above EXCEPT...I am crazy clean in the kitchen. Yes, the buggers are right at my feet hoping for a little morsel to drop, but if I touch them, I wash! Other than that, I am GUILTY as charged!

My daughter and her boyfriend are just as bad...He lets their pups clean his teeth after he eats--they love it--that is gross!

We have a "poop stance" puppy, too. Emmy just stand in the position until rescued if she has a piece of poop attached. I don't believe Oscar is going to care one way or the other! He is going to be just a ragtag, dirty, little boy and we are loving him!

Guilty, Oliver, my shihpoo, has to lick my neck for few minutes before he lays down to go to bed. It's almost like it soothes him and then he goes and lays down to sleep. I have barehanded poop and had many a butt in my face. it's love people, we love our babies

I had to laugh at this post. Just yesterday I heard my husband tell Riley to get her butt off his arm. I'm a stickler with food but otherwise anything goes.

What a great thread! What's really funny is that I never considered myself a dog person before Tucker. I mean obviously I love Yorkies but I was always very germ-phobic and would get grossed out so easily by dogs and the things other people would do with their dogs. Well, along comes Tucker and I am rubbing my face all over him, kissing him from head to toe (and his little feet are the best!), letting him kiss me all over, snuggling in bed together, etc. I don't wash after any of it unless I am about to cook but that's been a habit of mine even before Tucker. Other dogs still gross me out. When I go to the dog park I pet them all over but I would never kiss them and if I see slobber, I'm done! And then, as soon as I get in the car I have to use hand sanitizer and scrub once I get home. But with Tucker, it's no holds barred!

Do they give kisses-all over your face?
Do you pick them up or pet them, and then continue doing whatever task you were working on, without washing your hands? (putting on makeup, cooking, cleaning, etc.)
Does your Yorkie put his or her butt right on your pillow, and you sleep right there anyway?
