| ![]() Glad you are talking with the vet in the morning. Stay calm for your sweet pup, and it could be pancreatitis.

| ![]() When that happened to my baby, it was, of course, on a weekend night ... turned out it was gastroenteritis and they gave her Carafate and told me to give her 1/8 tab of Pepcid. I am NOT telling you to give this to your baby. Just telling you what happened to us. Each vet is different. Let him check for an obstruction, b/c that is possible but unlikely. However, if it was only a speck of blood, do not fret too much. But do get her to the vet. my babies are both on low residue dry dog food ... seems they have very sensitive tummies ... Monday (the older one) has been diagnosed with anything that ends with "itis" ... and she is fine on the low residue food now ... I prefer the dry food, but I did have her on the canned food. It's just that if travelling, dry food is better than having to worry about refrigerating the canned food. ( I did buy a small fridge to accommodate the canned food) ... I NEVER let anyone feed her "people" food that I have not boiled myself. Roast turkey skin was the first thing that set Monday off when she was 7 months old. Good luck and let us know what the doctor says. Oh, if possible, bring a stool sample.... I have a feeling it will be fine and easily treatable. Oh, and do not give Pepto Bismol, it has aspirin in it and that's not good for the pups. Plus it will turn the stool BLACK and scare the daylights out of you.

| ![]() awww poor thing. I will be waiting to see what the vet sais in the morning. I agree get a stool sample and seal it up to be prepared. Odd as this sounds I did the same thing his evening with my 3 year old son Kyle. He called me in after he went potty and he had coffee ground like bm in the potty and when we cleaned him up it was black and tarry. (usually signs of internal bleeding somewhere) So next time he went I was prepared and got a sample thats in the fridge for the morning call to the pediatrician. Kyle is known to eat non'food items (eek) |

| ![]() I am so sorry! I'll be thinking about you and Princess Mia. Hopefully the vet will have answers for you in the morning, but I wouldn't worry too much tonight. But iff she shows anymore symptoms, I'd take her to the emergency vet.
