i may have to disagree on yorkies being more calmer and easier to train...keke...i have the best of both worlds...and from personal experience i find Maltese to be easier to train and a lot calmer than my yorkie...but i love them all the same...keke

Funny you mention this. This is usually the case but not with mine. I have 3 yorkies and two maltese. The maltese are way more hyper and have been very hard to train compared to the yorkies. Just goes to show you they are all different.
By the way, your babies you posted pics of are sooooo cute!! What little doll babies!!


I love morkies, they are sooo adorable and I love the light tan ones they are just too cute!! I don't agree with the price, some prices are alright but paying a couple thousand for a mix I can't understand. I would pay $900 easy for one but $1500 that is a different story.

Thats what I was saying, that he acts a lot like a yorkie, but I think the maltese in him brings out his more trainable and calm side...

I think morkies are adoooorable! I've made the choice not to ever buy another mixed breed (I have 3) because I found out too late about the consequences of mixing, puppy mills, ect. I love my 3 mixes SO much and wouldn't trade them for the world, and I think mixes are some of the CUTEST dogs ever... it's just so hard to find someone that breeds them responsibly with all of the genetic and health testing. I paid an arm and a leg for my "yorkie poo" Bentley and for my "lhasa chon" Tallulah so I know all about the high price tag!! Sometimes you can find accidental litters in the paper or even on petfinder! Good luck!!

yes I agree about the over-priced "designer breed". I am breeder and don't even agree to the price of "purebreed" dogs either. I put a lot of time in my babies...but not in the business to make money. I may sometimes break even or even lose when breeding. I just love the breeds so much that I like having puppies around. keke..

I don't have a yorkie-maltese mix but i do have a yorkie and a maltese. With the yorkie, she is more hyper but she is so much smarter. The maltese is more laid back, he will actually lay in your lap and let you hold him anytime, the yorkie will only lay in your lap and let you hold her when she is ready (and that is not often). The yorkie learns faster and picks up on things faster on everything except house breaking and the maltese does better with that and he is 4 months younger than she is. Even though she learns things faster than he does doesn't mean she will do them, when he does learn something he will do them everytime you ask. He (maltese) barks (very loud) at every noise or move and she hardley ever barks. I love them both to little pieces. Hannah is 8 months old and Bentley is 4 months old. She weighs 4.2lbs and he weighs 5.7 lbs.
