| Toto is 16 months ... and you are right about them being smart!! I am amazed at how quickly they learn new things! The thing that amazes me more is how fast they are ... Toto is like lightening! I think sometimes their estimates are right about doubling their weight at 12 weeks. Toto was 1 lb. 8 oz. when we got her at 16 wks., at 8 months she weighed 3 lbs. and at 15 months she weighed her present weight which is 4 lbs.! This, for one that the estimate was never, ever to weigh 3 lbs.!! She has amazed everyone! Dr. Lucy weighed her 3 times the day she weighed 4 lbs.!!! I think this is probably due to the fact that she doesn't get enough exercise ... and we have allowed her to become quite the "picky eater"!

| I have a little boy, (pepper) who started out not wanting to play, I would have been thrilled to just see him run! He's 9 months now weighs not quite 2 1/2 lbs so hes a little guy and he's a little "live-wire" now but it has just started within the last couple of months. He also visited the vet alot with different ailments and I didn't get him from the breeder until he was 16 weeks. Hopefully you're little guy will be the same way and you might even think those calm days wasn't so bad.....?! |

| Welcome to YorkieTalk, Sidney and Pepper!! It does take them a little time to get going ... they are so energetic and expend soooo much energy when they do play that they almost seem to pass out when in reality they are just sleeping!! Toto, at 16 months, still does that .... but she plays so hard ... and has set herself a routine! If she doesn't get her "naptime" and cuddling around 10AM every morning she is almost "cranky" the rest of the day. Other times she is content to play or nap alone but she wants that particular time for her bonding time I suppose!! Tell us more about Pepper!!
