| 2 yorkies alone in house??? For those of you who have two yorkies, once they get a little bit older and are housetrained, do you give them both free run of the house when you're not home? We get Bella on Tuesday, and I think I'm going to get Rocky an Xpen, and once she's potty trained I would like to be able and leave both of them in it to play together when I'm not home. My fiance is afraid to leave them a lone together though. What do the rest of you do?

| When Seth and Sasha are not with me at the squadhouse, which is rare they do fine at home together. They are not left at home for very long alone though, about an hour to hour 1/2 alone.

| As long as they get along well, I don't think it should be a problem at all. You'll probably get a feel for how they'll do alone together before you actually have to do it...

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Well when I'm not home I leave Teddy and London in different rooms since Teddy is so much bigger and is not neutered.

| I have two yorkies ages 7 and 8 both girls and they have been together since I bought them. They stay home along all day together and cuddle up in their bed. I have a cat flap which allows them both to go into the garden when ever they need to. I would dreead to think how 1 would cope if anything happens to the other one. |

| Zoey is 6 mths and Ziggy is 8 yrs. we have been letting Zoey loose with zig for a couple of months. They go out to potty, there have been a couple of times where Zoey went close to back door on linoleum. I have kept pads available but she just thinks they are entertainment. She has done great. We do keep the bedrooms and bathrooms door shut. It came down to the fact that it was better for Zoey to run loose than to have to fasten Ziggy up with her. |

| I leave mine in the kitchen & bathroom area. They are gated up so that they can't get into any other rooms. But the kitchen and bathroom is a pretty big area for them to run and play together.

| I leave "Boli" 7 years old, and "Goloso" her 1.5 year old neutered son all day long while while I am at work free to roam throughout the house (including the rooms) they are 101% trained and dont miss a shot on their pee-pads. |

| Hoku is almost 7 mos. and Kalani is 6 mos., they stay together in an x-pen in the kitchen when I'm gone. When I added Kalani it took only the weekend for Hoku to adust so I was able to leave them alone together the following Monday.

| Mine are alone together in the house and they are fine.. actually they are better being free in the house than they are being penned up. They bark less, they are more tired at night bc they had more room to run and play and they go potty on the paper more now than they did when they were penned in. Good Luck though... the first week or so is a bit scarey to come home to. You dont know what to expect! haha

| Thanks everyone! I figured it would be O.K, but my fiance's afraid they might get along when were around, but act different when were gone.

| I trust my two now; their first 6-8 months I had them either kenneled, babysat by grandparents, or one -- both went with us. But now they have full run. I have a puppy coming home next month, and it'll be a while till he's left home alone (when he's 6-8 months, depending on size, training, and how Rhapsody and Tiger adapt to the new puppy.)

| I never leave mine alone to have full run of the house. A friend of mine had an older Yorkie (5 or 6 years old I think) that got bored and chewed a lamp cord. She didn't make it. Mine are crated while I'm gone and the most I've been away from mine is like 3-4 hours at one time. I like to say they are crated for their safety and my peace of mind.
