Not too sure just how centrally located Kansas really is. It's 1,748.91 miles from Ca. but it's 1,087.25 from PA.
I'm going to pass this one up. Just too far.

A 9 hr plus drive each way is to far for a ONE DAY affair, I'm just tring to be honest.

that's understandable.. and just because the actual meet up isn't happening both days.. doens't mean we can't enjoy eachother's company and see the sights of Kansas City as a group on the sunday. we will be researching various things that we can all do with our fur babies and be offering those up as options for the day sunday.

Darn....I don't think I would be able to make it but maybe in 2009. My wedding is in July and then we have our honeymoon so I think I am going to be broke all next year.....hehe. But it does sound like a lot of fun!!!

well Nathan and I will be there!!! Never been there before !!!! I love to travel!!! As a side note maybe those of you who have more than one furbaby and live near each other can rent a RV and go together??? Just a thought!!!

Well, since I was raised in KCK and still have lots of family and friends there and 2008 is far enough away that my knees should be totally healed, I will say YES I will be there.

You will have to fly into KCI and that is in Missouri but it is north of KC and very easy to get to different parts of the area.

someone asked about tornadoes...tornado season is in the spring early summer. and its usually in the rural area not so much in the KCK area but thats not to say its never happened

and theres more to do on the MO side of KC. unless you go out to Overland Park or further south. i don't know you'll have to look around. KCK is kind of ghetto IMO. so i would look more to Johnson County (Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee Mission) or KCMO. North KCMO is pretty nice too.

I agree with you about KCK being a little ghetto. There are some really nice parks in Johnson County and Wyandotte County Lake is really pretty and big. I am sure there are some nice places north of the river by the airport too but it has been years since I lived or visited north of the river.

Maybe; I too was hoping to go to Las Vegas; Chicago, or to Kansas City, Mo. Some of my closest friends live in Kansas....
