| Ears I thought that yorkies came with pointy ears already at one point as i did more research i seen that people cut them to make the ears stay up. Well honestly i like my dogs ears how they came to this world. Why did you cut your dogs ears? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...no/Charlie.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...LIEDE16C04.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...Picture160.jpg |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I think your baby is adorable no matter how you do the ears ! The only thing I would add is keep the INSIDE plucked to prevent infections....it blocks air and can cause bacteria to build up ...it's very easy. I don't do it myself but have it done at a groomer or vet. |

| Yes!!! He is very cute the way he is!! But I do agree with redvette!!! Plucking the inside hair is important to the bacteria out and helps prevent infection!! But he is a dollbaby!!! |

| I think his ears are cute the way they are. I don't shave my dogs ears but I pluck the insides.

| I think you are talking about cropping ears... You don't have to crop a Yorkie's ears to get them to stand. They are supposed to stand on their own. My oldest is 1/2-his ears stand, and they were not cropped (cut). My youngest is 12 weeks, and hers now stands-again, not cropped. If they are going to stand, they will early on. Not ALL Yorkie ears stand, but I belive the majority of them do.

| Charlie is ADORABLE!!!! I am sure that when you read that someone "cut" their Yorkies ears they were not cropped. People trim the hair off of the ears to take the weight off to help them stand up if that is what they want their pups ears to do. Most of the time the ears go up on their own. Your Charlie really is a cutie pie...somehow it seems that is the perfect name for him...he looks sweet and loyal! |

| Charlie is so cute. ( I used to have a Charlie) I don't know how old he is but I've heard when they teeth ..it can effect their ears. I was told sometimes they don't go up until they are 4- 6 months on some dogs. |

| Yorkie ears are not cropped or cut. Breeders only crop the tail. Some babies are born with larger ears and have difficulty standing naturally also the stress of teething causes them to flop. Your babies ears should be standing, Shaving is done to lighten the weight of the hair so they can stand naturally (inside and out 1/3rd down inverted v) should be done diligently until they stand.

| Your dog is just adorable.......I don't think they cut Bella's ears they just stood up on their own at 7 wks the breeder said. I think they tape them but didn't have to for Bella

| Charlie is so cute he would look good if his ears were backwards. I wouldn't worry about it at all. He's a doll! |

| Ears Hi. My first yorkie's ears were up but went down right away. I agree, we don't crop them but just make sure there isn't extra hair weighing them down. I think yours is cute, my fear was that one would be up and the other down, so I taped them as designed on some website I found. It worked fine and her ears stayed up. My second yorkie's ears were larger and just stood up beautifully, have never fallen. |

| I think your pup is adorable! I don't cut my Yorkie's ears, but Riley's stand up naturally at 9 months, and TJ's are still floppy at 10 weeks. I don't really mind whether the ears are up or down. In my opinion, they are cute either way. I would not cut my dog's ears though because I figure I'll let their ears do whatever they want to. LOL I used to have a Basset Hound named Charlie. I had to send him to live with my brother in a city about 2 hours away from me. He's soo happy there! |

| Zowie has bigger ears and they stood up at about 10 weeks. Bronx ears did not stand. I didn't clip the hair on either of their ears until Zowie was about one. the hair hung forward and she would hold them sidways sometimes and looked like gizmo. When I trimmed the hair, my boys had a fit. Bronx ears are still down and he has a precious face like your Charlie. I love them that way, and it is how many of our friends can tell them apart.
