| Is there a secret to getting your little fur babies to sit still for a nail trim. I can't seem to get it done. Any advise would be helpful. Maggie is an 11 month old 4 pounder that thinks she is much older and bigger!! |

| I let Tia get busy with a bully stick while she's lying on my sofa. Once she's relaxed and REALLY focused on her chewing I'll start trimming. There are some times when I can only get 1 or 2 paws done at one sitting. She loves chewing on that thing so much that nothing really fazes her at those times

| I don't have any advice for you because I haven't tried to trim Sukoshi's nails myself. I've just taken her to the vet or groomers to have them trimmed so far. I'm scared of cutting off too much and hurting her. How do you know how much to trim off? I don't see 2 different colors like on a human nail. |

| I'm a little worried about cutting too much too. They tried to show me at the Vets but I think I will keep paying them to do it. At least afterwards Maggie thinks I'm the best. She cuddles up to me to protect her from those "mean" people!! |

I take my babies to the vet and let them do it because I am just way too scared that I am going to go too short and make them scream and/or bleed And I would feel sooo bad if that happened. Our vet only charges $10 bucks to do it, so it is so worth it for me It takes THREE people PLUS to vet trimming his nails to hold Stedman down...he HATES having his nails trimmed - so there is no way in heck I could do it on my own Tatum on the other hand is of course a little angel and just sits there like she is having a pedicure

| I do mine right after their bath while the nails are somewhat softer. I keep them wrapped tightly in the towel and take out one foot at a time. They are so use to it now they just stay cozy in the towel till I'm done.

| I do my labs and it's on my top 10 list of things I hate to do I've cut them too short and few times and feel just awful about it. Not only do I hurt her and make her bleed, she bleeds allll over my house! Not sure what I'll do with Bella's, hers are fine for now.

| Maybe you could just hold her in your lap and hold her paws for awhile each day, so she gets used to that. Then once she doesn't wiggle all over the place, you could try the nail clippers? Or have you tried that and she still wiggles around once she sees the clippers? I would give her a treat or a bully sticks like the others said, to keep her distracted. |
