| My yorkie sometimes misses her pad as well. I have a play yard set up in our family room where her bed is, food and water and pee pad. I went to a fabric store and found vynal on a roll (I think people would use it to upholster seating) and bought three yards for $30. I put it underneath our play yard and if Kiki misses, I can just easily wipe it up with a Clorox Wipe. It is thick enough so she can't tear it up. This has really worked well for us. Anna |

| I have wood floors too and I have a large exercise pen in my kitchen with a piece of formica on the floor inside the pen for accidents and sometimes they like to dig to China my pups stay in the pen when I am gone. I haven't had any trouble with the pee on the wood floor because I usually see it right away and clean it up but I agree that it would eat away at the finish. |

| i've got wood floors also, and keep my eyes peeled in case the little guy has a marking incident, but it makes it a lot easier to clean up

| I have had wood parquet in my kitchen for the last 15 years but plan to take it up & install ceramic tile. You do have to get the accidents up really quickly on the wood or the finish becomes tacky & it just doesn't seem as clean to me as tile I could use a disinfectant & water cleaner on. If you know you will have accidents, I really wouldn't recommend the wood. However, if we are comparing wood to carpet, the wood is much superior for clean up. | We were actually in the process of having our carpet torn up and hard wood floors refinished the week before we brought Sukoshi home, and we haven't had any problems with the hard wood yet...but...our finish is so new, that I guess I won't know for a bit if any of her accidents will mess up the finish over time. I know it made it soooo much easier to clean up after her while she was still training to use her pads, and now she hits the pad 98% of the time, so we love the hard wood. I think everyone has a good point about it destroying the finish over time though. I'll have to keep an eye on ours. |

Expensive? I think they are worth the $$ - I bought a whole roll so I did pay a few bucks, but you can by one square for as little as $25 - and some other options as well. https://df14.dot5hosting.com/~pishpa...063018a45ecaca
