| Well I talked to the main guy at The recall line, it was a direct number to seniors, is what they said anyways. They had allready had my name and number where I had called before about the recall foods. They said that Mickey and Minnies food that they was on was not on recall, but with the new foods being recalled every day they wanted to make a report of it. They said that In order to have a case I had to show that one or more of my pets have had a kidney test done and that the results show low kidney funtion. well Mickey and Minnie was both sick when it all started. Minnie was throwing up blood and thats when I took both Mickey and Minnie to the vets. well you all know what Mickeys been through and Minnie seems to of gotton better with her antibiotics. anyways. The recall place asked if I could send them a copy of the results of the kidney test. well I cant because my vet wont give me the paper on it, all he says is Mickeys kidney function is very low and that he doubts its from the recall foods. But how can he be sure? thats when both my babies got sick. and hes been wrong before, like when he said Mickeys problem was just gas. and well it wasnt it was crystals in his bladder. most of the dogs animals that have died or been sick from the recall foods have very low kidney funtion and crystals in their bladder. It makes me wonder and why wont my vet give me the results on paper when I asked for the test and I paid for the test. The recall place is going to call and talk to him. |

| . they said its sounds like what all the other animals had been tested and their same results..so he did make me a case. but he also said that many of those animals are having that same surgey and that its better to put them down because they will need it again and again.and id be selfish to not do what was best for them. | First, I am sooo sorry you are going through this!! This is horrible! Second, your vet needs to give that to you! You paid for it and you wanted it done....it is your right to have it. I am sure there is a legal way that you can get it from them w/o having to fight them for it. My vet is always very open about Mojo's file and any tests...in fact, when Mojo was so sick last year, it was a weekend and she gave me his whole file (everything in it from the beginning) to keep and take to the ER vet if needed. So, I would not be very happy w/ your vet and I would fight for that test result paper!

| I can't believe that the vet won't give you the test results! You paid for them! I wouldn't give up, he has to give them.

| I agree, even if their food dont ever come on recall , witch I pray that it dont. My vet dont know if the food was the cause of this or it was just some thing that happened, and if the food does come up on recall, Id have the papers they are asking for. The recaqll guy is the one that told me to have that test done and Thats why I did, he said it would be best to have all the test results now incase the food does come on recall, then to have to do it at a later time, I dont know but it makes sense to me. |

| Well, the tests were a good thing to have done anyway...I mean, when something like this is happening, the vet should be doing every test possible that they can to rule out this or that and to hopefully find a solution to the problem.........and with that, the vet should disclose that information to you, the owner of the dog, the person who asked for the test, the person who is paying for the test, the person who is trusting the life of their dogs in that vets hands. I would be calling around and seeing what help/right you have and can get to get those test results (a copy of them). I know if you want to switch vets, they have to send your whole file to the new vet.....I know you don't want to do that, but maybe you can go to another vet and say you want a second opinion and have them call her vet for those results???!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I totally agree with Jen & LilBit - this is YOUR dog - you paid for those tests so that makes them YOUR tests and you should have access to them...It would make me wonder too why he doesn't want to hand them over ...I kind of think maybe you should call and speak to another vet & get their opinion on this... & the recall guy said it's better for people to put their pets down ?? That's not encourging at all Debbie - do you think it was the food ?? I really hope it isn't but it sure would be worth checking into and I think you should.

Him telling you to put your dog down, is very weird. Is it so that it won't be available for any further testing?

| Also, your vet HAS to release all papers on Mickey if you ask for them. He has to furnish all of his bloodwork and everything to you. I can't believe he won't give you... Just tell him to make you copies of ALL of Mickey's medical history and all the tests that he has had or just tell him to hand them over.

also I wanted to point out that the recall man said if it was the food, then instead of prolonging their lifes while they suffering because they mostly have been dieing from the recalls, then its better to put them down. he sounded like He was even crying, I know I was. he said some of the pets are having to go through what Mickey did over and over again. I just got some important info on the food that my babys eat. I cant share it with you all now, but I will at a later time. | |

| YorkieShadow. I'm sorry that you are going through all this. Your poor babies. This is such a sin that all these dogs and cats have suffered needlessly. What food were you using that you believe may have caused this? I use Chicken for a puppies soul both adult and puppy. I do not use wet food. I use boiled chicken and brown rice for night time and leave the kibble out all day. Hope things get better for your babies and you. Sincere best wishes Elaine |

| Something is not right with the vet not giving you your dog's test results. I would insist on the results, or tell them your lawyer will be in touch if you do not get them!
