| ![]() esbilac is a puppy milk replacer. Comes pre mixed or powder form you mix. I sprinkled it on Zoies food while pregnant & nursing and on the puppies food when they went to solids. It is supposed to be used to feed orphaned animals. I have bottle raised orphaned: 2 litters of bunnies first set was about 1 week old 2nd set was 1 day old, a squirrel from the time he had his eyes closed, a skunk and an oppossum that had eyes closed. All were released back to the wild. The major problem with supplementing you need to be very very careful they do not aspirate the milk into their lungs. Animals tend to reject a dropper or petag bottle and a good chance they breathe it rather then drink it. If it gets into their lungs they can get pneumonia and will most likely die.

| ![]() That's what I'm talking about. If you can keep the mother healthy and able to feed the pups on her own that is the best way. However, it is necessary to help supplement sometimes. I just wouldn't "guess" at it. I told Tiah (my Yorkie Mommy) that she is accomplishing more in one day right now that I could ever do for her babies. She keeps it all balanced and they are getting chubby and have little wrinkles. |

| ![]() OK! I will let Zowie continue to take care of the puppies, I will take care of her. She is doing a great job and the babies are getting fat. Two are 1# now, the little one is 7 oz., the other two are 13 oz. More than half her weight already. She just seems so thin. I will just continue to overfeed her all day, she eats everything I give her - maybe she just needs so much more.
