She is so cute!

We have a pool in our backyard - so we wanted to make sure Wylie knew how to swim, AND, how to get out if he ever (god forbid) was out there alone and fell in.

He doesn't get in on his own, but will with fetching. He loves to fetch by a lake and swim out to get the ball.

What cute pictures. My Rhapsody hates getting wet (lol, I think she has some cat in her, she has many aloof cat-like behaviors). But Tiger loves it when the kids are playing in the water. They just have kiddie pools, and he jumps right in, and tries to bite the water spraying of the slip-n-slide.

No she doesn't seem scared at all! She is one of those dogs that is just happy to be with me and not home alone! She even went to Havasu with us! I kept a wet towel for her to cool off in and keep her carrier so she can hide out of the sun. Next I am getting one of those carriers that you can put an ice pack on the side to keep them cool! I hope Truffles loves the water too! Its her first summer!!

This will be Chloe's first summer!

We have a pool, but I'm afraid to put her in with all the chemicals. I take my Min Pin in and bathe her after, so I will probably do that with Chloe, too. But I'm thinking about just getting her a nice kiddie pool that's big enough for Mommy/Daddy to get in too

so we can get her used to the water.

We also have a boat and she'll come with us there...with a lifejacket just in case!

She doesn't like "showers" (in the kitchen sink), but we're going to try to get her used to the water this summer because we spend a lot of time swimming/on the boat/camping at the lake.

Well... I gotta tell ya that taking a bath is completely different than going to swim...

I say this cause Maggie doesn't like taking baths, but going to the pool... it's a whole different story...

Your pool is in the backyard too, so when we're not around the door that gives access to the pool is always closed...

I can't even stand the thought of losing 1 of my babies there... because once inside the pool they can not get out of water by themselves...

The kiddie pool is a great idea, it's safer cause it's not too deep and you all can fit in and have the best time together...

And let me tell ya that getting wet taking bath is not the same as getting wet swimming in a lake or pool...

I'm glad all these yorkies seem to be loving the water. Hopefully, as soon as my baby gets all his shots and everything, he'll love to come to the beach and the pool with mommy!
