| Uh--oh..... DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME..... How can I make this stupid story short and to the point??????? I bought some pet clippers...(nice ones with lots of different guard attachments)...I HAD TO clip some hair off of LIL BIT because all the "long, wooly thingy's" falling from the pecan trees was just too much.... Well,.......Friday evening I was babysitting my grandson, Adam, and kept looking at his hair...he needed a haircut......I have watched the lady's at the hair place cut his hair a zillion times.... So I decided I could do it....I sat him out on the front porch...wrapped a towel around his shoulders....and started clipping away....mostly the back using the #4 guard. We did ok until some hair blew into his face..and he wiggled and then JUMPED..... ...UGH....I cut a big 'gouge' out of the hair near the side of his face!!!!! The longer I worked to try to fix it the worse it got...and he even JUMPED again......finally I just stopped.......I didn't have enough time before his mom came to get him to get to the hair place to get things fixed. So....I took him Saturday and told the lady "some IDIOT tried to cut his hair with DOG CLIPPERS ..." End of story...his hair is now fine (a bit shorter than I would like) and Lil Bit did get a nice little "trim up" and did great! |

| Debi- That is tooooo funny... "some idiot!" I wouldve done the same thing! I bought the clippers etc almost a year ago and they are still sitting there! I am too chicken still to try to groom them myslef and when I read posts like yours I know why! I just know I would butcher my little baby's coat bc as good as I might be doing something would happen, like with you and he would jump and it would be all over! Glad to hear you got a corrective cut!

| LMAO!!! You know, I just went out and bought a grooming set like 30 minutes ago, and now I'm afraid of my puppy looking worse than his hobo self. Maybe I'll wait til he gets bigger.

| You're missing the point....... I screwed up MY GRANDSON'S HAIR............. Lil Bit did fine.... Actually, I'm kinda proud of the job I did on her!!!! (I just trimmed around LIL BIT's butt and feet and inside of her back legs....those wolly things off the pecan trees were sticking to her like VELCRO!!!) |

| Debi, know just what you mean the yorkies are twice as easy to trim as the kids. lol. I do mines butts ears and feet but sit my grandson down and he has to get 40-11 things and bangs well lets just not go there.

| That's too funny! Poor Adam! I am sure he still looks cute, and probably a little less trusting around dog clippers! |
