| At what age do they respond to their name? My husband and I can't figure out why she doesn't respond that well to her name. She may look at you but you can call and call but she refuses to move. She hears everything so we know that isn't a problem. What can I do to speed this process along? She will be 4 months old tomorrow. |

| Could be, for sure she has my husband and I wrapped around her little paw. The last 2 months has been a joy for us. Except for not coming when called she is a sweetheart. |

| Teach her the command to come, it is a very important command for her to know anyways. Try some cheerios for treats when she comes. |

| It sounds like she knows her name, but she's just being difficult.

| Queequeg knew her name after a day. You may want to try this trick. Pick her up just above eye level and call her name in a happy voice. Keep calling it until she looks at you. When she does look at you praise her like crazy. Keep repeating until she looks at you every time. After that you can start working on the come command. The name recognition builds a strong foundation for the come command . |

| Sounds like a little Yorkie attitude going on. Just remember she is still a baby so instead of repeatedly calling her name put her on leash and when she gets in her "princess" mode just give the lead a pull and say Come. You can use treats if you want but she'll soon learn to respond to the command rather than a her name.

| When Conner arrived to us, I did not change his name because I thought he might know it (at 9 weeks). He didn't know his name but after about 2 weeks, he knew his name plus all of his nicknames (ConMan, cutie, precious, sweetie, etc.)
