I haven't gotten my baby yet. He's only 1 month old. You can check out the Growth Chart Sticky at the top of the General Discussion page, and it will give you a general idea about how big your baby will be. Its not always accurate, but its fun to look. There's also a lot of people on here that got big puppies, but they stayed small dogs...and lots of people who got teeny puppies, but they got a growth spurt and became teapots!

At 4 months my Jo-Jo weighed 2.3...he's now 27 months old and weighs about 4.9. At 4 months my Riley weighed 2.9...he'll be 2 at the end of May and he now weighs about 4.4. Jo bulked up to about 5 pounds over the winter but now that he's playing more he's lost a few ounces...he'll be slim and trim before summer!

It really can be difficult to tell.... Biscuit was just under 3 pounds at 4 months and he is now, full grown 9 1/2 lbs. Way bigger than his parents. I now have Willow, who at 5 months is 1.7 lbs. I am hoping that she will get to at least 3 1/2 but we'll see. Her parents are 4 and 6 lbs. I have heard of dogs who were bigger than Biscuit at 4 months and are now only 5 or 6 lbs and I have also heard of tiny puppies(like my Willow) who end up being 4 or 5 lbs. (my fingers are crossed that she ends up having a growth spurt soon!) It really is just a waiting game-best to judge by your puppy's parents' sizes. But even that doesn't always guarantee!
