Hi, all it has been a long time since I have replied to anything on YT. I just sat here and read the 12 page post, which took about an hour lol. I must say that everyone here is totally AWSOME!!!!!!!!!! If anything ever happened to my babby this is the ONLY place I would come. You guys gave it your best shot! And Tahoe's mom should be grateful for all the concern for Tahoe. I will be checking to see how this all turns out. meeshue

I agree Villette 100%. I am so confused about this whole situation and what it is exactly Tahoes mom is wanting and why she posted in the first place. She wanted advice and has gotten defensive with everyone who has offered it. She needed money for surgery and cant afford it but when people give her options on how to come up with the money she gets mad and says stop telling her what to do and sticking their nose in her business. One minute the dog is paralyzed and the next it is moving around and she thinks it will get better on its own. People have stayed up until 1:00 in the morning trying to get her to respond so they can help her because they have dealt with this situation and she doesnt even have the decency to talk to them and see what they can do to help her. Something just isnt adding up here and if it were me I would be jumping on anything anyone could offer and being so grateful that people I didnt even know cared enough to help me. The fact that the very people that she has gotten so angry and nasty with are STILL HERE trying to help her is amazing to me. It says what awesome and caring people they truely are. I just hope this doesnt make them shy away from people needing help in the future for fear they will get the same treatment.

I understand you being upset, and it had to be horrible to see him totally limp for 4 days. You gotta do what you gotta do, and I believe I also would wait it out, because as you said there is no guarantee with surgery either.

Please don't be angry with the other people for being suspicious and investigating. These are very caring people on here and it's because they are so caring and eager to help, that many of them have been taken by scams in the past..

You are a new member, and when a new member starts posting about things like this it looks very suspicious. That is sad, but a few bad people have made it look bad for everyone.

The call to your vet actually helped you, it verified that what you were saying was true.

We are trying to put ourselves in your situation to understand your decisions, and you should also try to put yourself in ours to understand our reactions.

I'm sorry that this has added to your stress. We all wish the best for you and little Tahoe.

Im glad to hear that! I didn't think she ever asked for money! I didn't read through it all before I posted that... Im glad to know its not a scam, but Im sad to know that poor Tahoe is in that condition! :( Poor baby!

Ytalkers here are just trying to help, and they have given many many good ideas and suggestions. They feel for you and your yorkie. I hope you can decide on what's best for you and Tahoe; just make sure that as time goes by while you decide Tahoe is getting better for real, but not getting even worse. Just think it through... I don't think just waiting to see if he gets better is the way to go... Who know, he may get better... but what if this does not happen?

Im sorry if i i hurt anybody....im stressed to the point that i dont know what to do anymore...my vet tells me something diffrent and people here telling me something diffrent...nobody give me a chance to make the decision...i went to diffrent vet bc i neede to see specialist...i will give you name and number for the specialist ...you could speak to her...just let me know before you do it...to do mri and other bunch of test to really find out what happend to him cost $1850...i have the invoice and i can fax it to anyone who need it....i dont like the way some of you treat me...why did i take him to diffrent vets? bc i had to...i was trying to hel my puppy not hurt him more...iam sad that nobody asked me what i want to do about...people just making decision for me...thats why i got mad...one person on this site who workes for vet told everyone that he is not in life treat. situation...what alse do you want me to do?...im hurt more then you imagine and by making me to look like mad and nasty women dont make it better

I know that you are stressed, but you came here to ask for advice, alot of great helpful tools have been told to you. Now you say you just want prays, ok, we are all praying for you and Tahoe, then you say nobody asked you what you want to do, it seems that you just don't know what to do, b/c you came here for advice?

I know this is extremely hard, how do you decide what's right and wrong. Please follow the advice of the Specialist, they are properly trained and have all the experience to help guide you in the right direction. I am sure that your Vet gave you the diagnosis of Tahoe Condition. Start doing research on his condition. If he has the same condition as Val's boy - Baby Bear, then contact her and get all the information possible from her, I am sure she is more than willing to help you.

I have respect for every YT member, but unfortunately this person who works for a Vet, doesn't work for your Vet, this person doesn't have Tahoe records and they do not have his diagnosis. I think she was comparing "Paralized" in general verses, I don't know Heart Failure, something that needed instant, immediate decisions made. So, yeah maybe Paralized in not 'life treating' - but if he has AAI condition, he will not be 100% better and from what Val said, even if Tahoe does improve, he is in such a fragile state, that just a simple 'yes' gesture could break in neck. IMO that's very scarey and I would want to do whatever was possible to prevent any further life long damage.

Ok i'm going to chime in here....

tahoe2005.... The reason that we are here on this forum is because we love our dogs and we want to help others. With that being said we here at YT have fallen Victems to a few scams from people coming on with a heart wrenching story of how thier dog needed help. We still have huge hearts here but we are a little wiser we want to help when we can but we need to verify that you are legit before we can do that. I know you came on here looking for advice honestly you got a lot of great ideas and solutions to what would help you! You gave permission to call and verify with your vet. These wonderful people are willing to donate thier hard earned money to help you and your baby even if you didn't ask for it they still want to help! If you would like the help then please be a little gracious about it.
What we need from you.....

1. We need permission for one YT member to call which ever vet you choose to have your baby taken care of by
2. We need address and phone # of vet along with name
3. We need your cooperation

If people choose to donate they will have to donate to the vet's office not to you directly this way it avoids any possible scam and protects not only them but you as well.
I feel for you i know how it is to live paycheck to paycheck and not know what is coming next and although i love my dogs my children come first. I understand that your feelings were hurt because we thought this to be a scam but you must understand we don't know you and you don't know us we have been burned here before and choose not to do it again. These wonderful people are opening their hearts to you if you don't want the help then why are you still posting you want advice. Please don't be rude to the people who are truely trying to help you. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU AND YOUR BABY!!! Please let us help you. You can pm me if you would like i would be more than willing to be the YT member to call for everyone. I f you want the help we can help you but if you don't i am sorry.
