Seems that you want to breed in the future and it doesn't look like this breeder sells his pups for breeding purposes (looks like pups are spayed/neutered before leaving)

I don't want to breed persay. I wanted to breed my lil guy once so I could get another pup, but now he only has one ball and has to be neutered anyway. Yorkies are always expensive in this area so it doesnt seem bad in comparison to the deal I got.

I am in the Syracuse area and bought my male from Bob in Sept. '06. I would only purchse a pup if I could see the parents and the environment that he was raised in. I picked the puppy up, saw the parents on site, and watched them interact. He has a health gaurantee and answered all questions. He said the puppy would be about 3 lbs. and at one year, he is 3.6 lbs. He is very healthy and hardy in spite of his size. He is outside potty trained and went out in the snow and cold all winter. No health issues at all. The only issue for me was that he was very thin and wasn't as well socialized as I wanted when we first saw him. Therefore, I felt sorry for him and took him anyway to make sure he had a loving fulltime family. He turned out to be one loveable, smart little guy. Once he put on some weight, he is absolutely beautiful. The money( I paid a little more) was not an issue. The pleasure and love we receive from him is worth more than the price I paid, and now that he is such an important part of our family, I would have paid more!

I am SO outraged on your behalf at what has happened with your Buddah; the amount of money your paid, the obvious misrepresentation by the breeder. But I am sure you have enough love in your heart to love the defenceless little guy anyway. My only advice to you is to make very sure next time that you personally visit the breeder, see the Sire, Dam and most importantly their living conditions.... this has sooo much to do with the temperament of all the dogs, puppies included.
The breeder that Mistyinca describes in Redlands sounds good to me, with the added advantage that you can visit the place and inspect very carefully everything you need to. Look at other breeders too, that happen to be in driving distance... you have everything to gain and nothing to lose by visiting more than one. I'll also ask around for you here, seeing as we don't live too far apart...maybe get a reference to another breeder.

i went there and met them is what gets me. I went there a few times actually.

I bought a little guy from them and he got sick several times. they took him back but wouldnt return my money so i had to wait to get buddah. I even told them i think with all the problems the other dog had I felt maybe I wasnt really ready to care for a pup. Thinking this would change their minds about the money but it didnt. That was the first red flag for me. after the first pup was returned I got such mean treatment from them. they obviously only care about money. I am more educated now. It was an expensive mistake but I do love my little guy more than ever. If they offered me my money back now I wouldnt think twice to say no way!

I just checked the poshpuppy website. Reading their FAQ page, it seems to me they are more like puppy "brokers", which could be a red flag that they might deal with puppy mills (ugh!!) I get this very strong impression from the way they describle their relationship with "other" breeders. Their pups seems to come from "elsewhere" to then be sold in their "puppy boutique".

I am soooo happy to see how much you love your little guy..... he loves and depends on you so much, and I am sure he is still just adorable, little quirks and all. It's also so much about their HUGE personalities that we come to adore, that sometimes, the appearance becomes secondary.......

yes I love him. and he is EXTRA ADORABLE. They do have cute pups...just not as healthy as they should be. Both dogs i bought from them had respitory infections when i got them and the first one had a "soft spot" the vet warned me it could be serious and they just kept saying we checked it out and there are no problems. urgh. I just wish there was something I could do.

I'm a little confused and I am sure it's me. I thought you said that you purchased Budha in Redlands. When I looked at the website, it said Tustin. I know 3 or 4 of the breeders in Redlands. Can you PM what the breeder's name is, I might be able to help you recover some of your expenses if it is the breeder I think you're talking about.

I'm sure glad tha Budha is better and that you love him madly.

I got Buddah in Tarzana, but I live in Irvine on the border of Tustin. I think they are opening a new store in Tustin that they mentioned when i was first in there.
