| Close call with Bio-Spot.. I'm such a BAD mom... So I had a close call with Bio-Spot. My mom bought it this weekend at the feed store because the vet was closed so we put half of one vial on each of my tiny yorkies and then 1 whole one on my big yorkie mix that lives at my parents.... They got so sick. diarrhea. Throwing up. Thank gosh I used bath wipes and wiped some of it off the other night because they were itching and itching at it and I felt bad. Since they were still sick I made a list of everything that we had done/gave them/etc... That was the only difference. So I immediately did research, called the vet, and then called Bio-Spot's company. Boy was I a bitch to them. They got such an ear full, and I'm getting a refund, compensated for my vet bills, and medicine. I'm so pissed. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use this stuff. I always use the frontline spray, but had just ordered it last week and it wasn't in yet... So... Needless to say, I'm a BAD MOM... I can't believe I did this to them.... I've scrubbed and scrubbed them down... Poor babies. **** Look on the internet, it has killed MANY dogs and cats, and they still sell it. It also makes them have seizures, diarrhea, throw up, etc... I wish I would have looked sooner!!!

| Your not a bad mommy your a good mommy. Your were trying to keep them free of fleas and ticks. We all are at the hands of these manufacturers and the products they make! It's their fault not yours. I am so glad you realized it fast. You may have saved them. Good thinking. |

I just don't want anyone to go through this. It's horrible. I didn't think Zoey was going to make it. I was preparing myself for the worst, and they still aren't clear totally. Just got the medicine today. Thank you!

| I tried bio-spot once on my dogs and my yorkie mix had a severe reaction to it. He started to twist his head back over his shoulders and could not sit still. He was having seizures. I washed him and called my vet at home on a Sunday afternoon. He met me at the office and gave him IV's and meds to counteract the permethrin. (He was upset that I had purchased it and used it without talking to him first. I believed the person on the phone at a popular catalog distributor of pet supplies when she said that it worked better than frontline plus and it was cheaper. I felt like I had murdered my dog) He gave me no guarantee that my boy would live. I took him home and held him for the 3 days and nights it took him to get over that reaction. I never thought of calling the company. I found out later that a friend's Bichon puppy had died because she had used it on her.

I called the company, and I called EPA... I got to looking and it has 45% permethrin in it... In our tick stuff we put on our cattle it only has 10%... THATS A HUGE DIFFERENCE!! I was pissed.

| Had a vet tech tell me to never use that product because they see a lot of pets come in from bad reactions from it...glad your peanut is doing better..you had no reason to think you we're doing anything wrong...just another bad product we all need to avoid..

| As much as I hate the word sue I'd be sueing them for harming my dog and causing me worry. People that had effects from diet pills not to long ago were sueing the company and getting lots of money. Why should dogs be any different? You buy the product to help your dog and it about kills them. That makes me mad. Poor babies! |

I know. I read that when they send you the checks to pay you back the money you spent they send you a little more and they put on the check final settlement or something like that... I suppose to prevent people from sueing... hmmm we'll see what happens...

| When I first got Max I was reading on the internet about different types of flea and tick preventatives and there were so many bad things about not only boi-spot, but SO MANY others (K-9 advantix, hartz, etc.) I know a lot of people who use those and their dogs don't have reactions but I'm so afraid to put ANYTHING on my dogs, so they go unprotected I hope your babies get well very soon.

| What I am sickened by the thought of these companies knowingly putting our babies in harm. I'm so glad your babies are ok - and no you are not a bad mom! Thank you so much for posting this so that others will not use this product! I'm so angry with this company -
