| pet sitting price What's fair. I started a thread about boarding, and what I gather is $10-25 per day. I want to pet sit, and I was thinking about 30/week or 5/day, two daily visits...or maybe 45/week or 7/day. How does it sound? What's a good price? |

| are you saying you'll just stop in and check on them in their home.... or are you taking care of them in your own home? It depends on what you will provide. |

| Layla goes to a babysitter during the day and it is 15 dollars for the day.. or however long i choose to leave here there... it is 25 on the weekend.. and i've never left her overnight.. but i'd imagine it would be like 25-30 for each day/night that she is there. |

| If I could find a sitter that watches Pepper for the day, I'd pay 20-25 for 2-3 days a week. But a daycare will charge more. Finding someone who will dogsit a few small dogs at a time at their house would be great..

| Yeah boarding is usually $30 on up...we take Lexxi when we leave town but she has to be on the nursing side, which makes it $60 per day!!! The 2 i've used charge like $20 extra to administer medication! I agree it depends on what you are offering...I had a friend come to my house to feed, change pads and play with my girls 2x per day and she would stay about an hour each time. She also fed my 2 "big" dogs while she was here. She charged us $20 per day - but she is a friend too. With gas and taking the time to do come here, it was worth it. I think $20 a day is fair to charge if I were keeping the doggie with me, overnight and giving it 24 hour care and attention-like a part of our family. And I would pay someone I trust to keep my girls in their home in a heartbeat! However, I don't trust too many people with my babies

| well i provide Layla's food.. but she'd rather eat the other dog's food and her babysitter doens't mind at all.. she makes home made treats and sells them to petstores so i know Layla is getting quality food they go for walks and Layla just basically hangs out with her other dogs (two labs and a labradoodle puppy) it is so perfect for us. |

| Could the area we live in make a difference? I know doggie daycares are about $15 per day even here...but to "board" is more.
