Yeah boarding is usually $30 on up...we take Lexxi when we leave town but she has to be on the nursing side, which makes it $60 per day!!! The 2 i've used charge like $20 extra to administer medication!
I agree it depends on what you are offering...I had a friend come to my house to feed, change pads and play with my girls 2x per day and she would stay about an hour each time. She also fed my 2 "big" dogs while she was here. She charged us $20 per day - but she is a friend too. With gas and taking the time to do come here, it was worth it.
I think $20 a day is fair to charge if I were keeping the doggie with me, overnight and giving it 24 hour care and attention-like a part of our family. And I would pay someone I trust to keep my girls in their home in a heartbeat! However, I don't trust too many people with my babies
