| test pattern this is just a swatch but ..... look real close and see what I did. and it is knit to boot! it is hard to see the pattern (i think due to it being knit from suede yarn). it will probably end up in a "test swatch" blankie. and did I mention .....its knit.....not crochet... how 'bout that? huh? knit!

| no no the pattern is not mine.. i got it off the internet. i was looking for a different pattern for a dish cloth and came across this one. if done in 100% cotton it would show up better I think. the suede I used was not that clear. it would be too expensive to do anything very big with the suede. I am cheap, unless I get it on clearance, I don't get it. I will do another one at work today with a different yarn and post the difference. I am just happy I am mastering the knit after crocheting all these years.

i've knitted a baby foot print pattern in 100% cotton and i couldn't see it... but then again it could have been the color choice. i'm going to be knitting another soon for a friend... i think i'm gonna change the color of the footprint so it can be seen better. how long have you been knitting? i've been knitting for 2 years and love it! i haven't attempted to crochet yet though i keep saying i'm gonna try...is it hard to do?

| ahh don't have to goggle it ... it is right here.. http://www.knittingknonsense.com/pawprintcloth.html I have just started knitting... well ....lets say i have just started getting results this year. crochet is easier for me because I have always done it. knitting is getting easier. your baby prints would be easier seen if you use a solid color. I like this look, it is like embossing. and so easy to do. they have numbers and letters on that site too. enjoy.

here is the swatch made with regular yarn. I dont' have any solid color cotton right now or I would have made a washcloth. I had to take this pic without a flash. the yellow is too bright with a flash so close. I should have taken photography lessons instead of sitting here learning to knit.
