Thumbs up

You are Number 1!! I applaud you on your incredible rescue. I feel bad for that poor puppy. No dog should be put through that. Why can't we just sign petitions or something and get all puppy mills shut down? Isn't there something we all can do?

I don't even know if we have a petland around here. We do have a Petworld. I've been in it once and it had the most disgusting smell! I mean I can act like certain odors dont bother me but this place was AWFUL!!!! It smelled like pure urine and really strong ammonia . They had only two dogs in there. Two black Cockerspaniels and by the look of them they were at least 7-8 months old.
Poor puppy at that Petland. I wish there was something that they could have done for him

If this pups autopsy shows something specific, they can shut it down? I hope this pups poor little life serves that purpose. You would have done a really monumental thing!!! What kind of heartless idiots work there that can sell these poor animals???? I think you remarkably well restraining yourself!! HOORAY FOR YOU!!

Go somewhere else to buy your supplies. Don't give Petland your money, even for supplies. And if you see dead fish, call Animal Control.

Way to GO. If we could get everyone to make scenes like you did maybe we could put a dent in the puppy mill business. One more educated person is one less person willing to buy a puppymill puppy.

You truely are a Yorkie Hero.

I would have loved to see you in action.

There were people lined up waiting to check this little and I mean little thing out. It was 8 f*****g weeks old and didn't even wiegh a pound. Looked really sickly. SO................HAHAHA...........I said in this really loud voice............. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT POOR PUPPY?? IT LOOKS REALLY SICKLY!!!!! Within milli seconds there was a Petland employee trying to explain to me in a very quiet voice that this is the way that "teacup" puppies look because they are so tiny they often times are mistaken to be sick. SO he told me. So I asked him to put the puppy on the floor and let it walk or I was going to call animal services. So he did and the poor little think just flopped to the floor. It didn't even have the strength to stand. SO.......HEHEHE......Again.......in my loud voice i say...... so who is willing to spend money on a yorkie that cant stand and is more than likely fighting for its life right now due to stupedness?????? Then the man tells me again that I do not know what I am talking about. The puppy is just tired. So I went on to tell him in my loud voice how 'teacups' do not exist. It is a term used to get a higher price for these pups since they will be small when grown, if they live that long and so on.
Well to make a longer story short........I stood right there in the middle of the store and called animal services and talked loud enough for all to hear. Everyone of those people waiting in line to see the pup left but one lady. Animal services came and took the pup, that lady said that she was willing to help with vet fees or willing to help put the pup to sleep. That was the only reason that she was waiting in line for the pup because she knew that it was sick and needed medical treatment so she was going to spend the $4500 to help this little critter whether it lived or not.

She blessed me and told me that I will have a special place in heaven. Sweet old lady.....

Just thought ya'll would like to know that I am no longer allowed in Petland so other than the get away driver I am no help with rescuing from there. LOL
You go girl! I like you! lily

So Sad, But so very wonderful for you to stand up and speak out! Someone poor unsupecting person would have bought that puppy and with in a few days (or hours) it would have died, leaving the person or people heart broken..
Thanks!!

Excuse me? dead fish animal control for that???? Fish die for multiple reasons of which we can NOT control. such as stress, over feeding(which we can control), bad shipment, uncurable disease (which any petstore should have a isolation tank for) and the most common reason : CHILDREN BANGING ON THE GLASS.

sorry I had to laugh. animal control could do nothing about the fish issue.unless all of the fish were belly up.

I hate Petland. My friends and I closed down the one in Rolling acres mall in Akron, Oh.
It was dirty , the dogs were hungry and most of them had one type of skin disease or
another. There is a pet shop near me that is pretty good but when I go in and see
the little ones without a mat to stand on and their feet go through the wires, I ask
for the Mgr. If they don't have a chew or toy, I call the Mgr. There is another one
that is getting to the point where I have just about had it with them and two weeks
ago, I told them "I hope you know I was responsible for closing down the Petland in
Rolling Acres" When I come in they whisper and run around to fix things and feed the
pups. I think you were very brave to do that but I would be very careful doing that
because these big companies can come back at you and sue for ruining their reputation or business. When the Rolling acres was closed we worked with the mgr
of the mall and the police but I suppose they just opened a store somewhere else.
