i am so glad you are there for that little guy ... i can't even imagine how lonely and sad he must be, to be out in a thunderstorm (WTF btw) and all night?!?! that just makes me so .. grrrrrrrrr..... i wouldn't do the threatening letter, that wouldn't really solve much other than get those horrible pple pissed off and who knows what they would do. i really hope the manager does something! if not ....... well ... who's to say if some crazy 'animal' aka yt memeber just happens to knock down the fence and have a ton of treats to tempt the little yorkie to the other side of the fence... hehehe ;) but really you are such a wonderful person to be looking out for this little guy, keep us posted.:aimeeyork |

Im gonna tell on myself. Once we had neighbors who ended up with a mini goat. One day it was on my front porch drinking water like crazy from our outside dog bowl. That was the first time I met Dinky. I wasnt sure where he came from so I thought he was lost, I put him in our barn with food and water. WHen the neighbors got home, I asked them Is this your goat they said yes our kids won him at the fair. So I went and got him and gave him back. Guess what he was on my porch the next morning, thristy and hungry. When they got home I gave him back again. I started watching and they had the goat tied to a horse trailer, very short, so short, he couldnt reach the bowls below him. I could see it from a distance from my front porch. SO I walked over across the field, loosened the rope and went and got food and water to put in the empty bowls he couldnt reach before I got there to begin with! I watched them come home that night and they walked right past the goat, never checked his water or food, never even glanced at him. When I looked out the next morning though, there he was tied short again, no food or water in the bowls and he couldnt have reached them anyway. Im not sure how the goat kept getting tied so short, maybe the kids, but it was obvious the parents were not making sure the goat was taken care of. Well I just couldnt stand it. SO instead of getting food and water for him and leaving him, I untied him, and he trotted home with me. I had him for about 10 days. You would have thought they would have inquired on him but they didnt and I never said a word. I figured they would come asking. ANd that was the only way I would give DInky back, I wasnt volunteering to take him back to the abuse. They never did inquire EVER about DInky the Goat, and they lived there probably 6 months since the date I took him. After 10 Days when they were at work, a friend of mines friend came and got DInky form our barn and took Dinky to his farm where he would have a good life. Those people are being plain mean to that little yorkie. I dont know about your guys yorkies, but some of mine are pretty agile, they can climb out of x pens;) Hint! Hint! I wouldnt tell someone to take the dog because its against the law. But if the proper people dont help get the dog out of the situation pronto, it sure would be a shame that that little dog jumped out of the x pen and ended up getting lost at someone elses home. Its obbious they consider the dog a nuissance and dont love it. |
GOOD FOR you saving Dinky.... I don't understand people...why they think tying an animal up 24/7 is OK is beyond me...if someone has an animal. it's up to them to give it the best life they can - and that does not mean being tied on a rope - that's just as bad as being kenneled all the time.... |
Id forgot about DInky until I read this thread, its been several years ago. You know I never really even thought about reporting them, I just wanted to help the goat. DInky was free and I dont think they wanted him to begin with. But a yorkie is a little different because generally people spend alot of money on them. I think sometimes they will hold on to them for that simple reason alone, whether they want them anymore or not. Im sure if those people put an ad out, they could find the lil sweetheart a good home, but doesnt sound like they have the best interest of the dog at heart anyway. Sometimes if you go the proper routes, like you are suppose to, they wait to long!!!!!! Just like kids who are left in abusive homes and they end up hurt, but wouldnt have been if taken out at an earlier date. Im hoping The manager will take care of the situation for you Peanut so you dont have to worry anymore! How nice it is you are watching out for that baby. |

Please Save This Dog Immediately! PLEASE SAVE THIS DOG IMMEDIATELY! I'm a bit "inflamed" right now, so I'm going to try to control myself bc the most important thing is this little dog. We've been talking about this POOR CREATURE for days now - SAVE HIM ALREADY. Why wait until Monday? He is helpless, alone, suffering, neglected, abused. What more needs to be "discussed"? Peanut, you are a such a kind soul and I know you're trying to do this in the "right" way. In this situation, there is no clear "right" way - other than getting this helpless creature to safety. I implore you not to wait another minute. Save him now. If a child was neglected, abused - there would be no discussion whatsoever: CPS or a relative or whoever would swoop in, rescue the child, get the child to safety, and THEN discuss if applicable (even discussing if/when child goes back to abusive home). PLEASE GO GET THIS CHILD, DARLIN'! The manager can follow-up as planned and inform them the dog is being held in a safe place until the proper discussions have occurred. You don't know what these people will do if confronted AND the dog is still there - what if they just turn it out? What if they give it to a friend/relative who could care even less for it? PLEASE GO GET HIM, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! Supporting you 2000 percent, Ann |

I totally agree with you. Good post:thumbup: If an animal is in need and you are an animal lover that it is criminal to look the other way. I have no idea why people own pets if they are not willing to put in the time and effect it takes to care for them! But they do and thanks to people like you some get second chances at being cared for and loved. The word stealing if a bit harsh in this situation IMO. Peanut, good luck to you in whatever you deceide. That little Yorkie is lucky to have you as his/her guardian angel. |
