YOU KNOW YOU DID THE RIGHT THING EVERYTIME YOU LOOK AT THAT DOG ! IF IT WASN'T FOR WHAT YOU DID, IT'D HAVE BEEN RUN OVER/INJURED, ETC ! :)

Thank you so much! There wasn't an ever a doubt in my mind that I had to do something. I don't handle people who mistreat any animal or child. I don't have a doubt in my mind Chloe would be dead if I wouldn't have taken her. I wouldn't go back and change a thing about it. :D

Sorry I haven't been updating but not alot to update, she has been gone since the weekend, and they got back last night cause I seen the little girl outside(I feel like a stacker) but I have come to a conclusion I think this woman gets on YT, cause she knew what was going on to take the dog away especially today, since the manager was up there at 8:00am she said...so I am not sure what is going on ...but as soon as I do I will let all of you know...:(

Why don't you just offer to buy her......I'm gonna guess if it's subsidized housing the woman could probably use the extra $$$$ anyway......maybe she wouldn't mind giving her up knowing she was in a safe home......it's worth a shot......if you took her and kept her.......and the woman reported it......I'd imagine you could get in quite a bit of trouble (although the dog is being mistreated).....I would go the $$$$$$ route

The manager has promised me she will go up there every morning and see if the dog is out, and if it is she is going to get the dog, and call me to come foster home it...I just got off the phone with her, so if she brings the dog out again I will have it....:)

After reading all of these replies I am stunned. Stealing is wrong, and I for one am very glad you chose not to do so. Remember the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I Think you showed maturity in the way you handled the situation. You didn't know what to do, you asked for help, and followed your instincts. Good for you!!! Finally you have a happy ending to a difficult situation. The dog will be safe because you acted in such a way that is beneficial to everybody. The manager is aware of the situation, and you could be fostering the dog providing it with a safe loving home.
I just hope this will be a reminder to not only yourself but everybody who reads this for the future. Just think what could have happened if the not so nice neighbor you described found out you stole her dog. People go to jail for that sort of thing. You showed excellent judgment, your father ( you mentioned him earlier) should be proud to have such a mature and caring daughter.
I for one know that my husband and I are proud of you. I just hope that more ppl are like you and use the brains their creator gave them.:aimeeyork

Shame on you lady. Why don't you stay home and put yourself in the yard with no food or water all day and see if you like it. Let someone who cares and will love that little darling have it since you don't seem to want to be bothered. What's the matter? Did you fail to potty train so it has to stay outside now? That is YOUR fault. You break the rules of your housing lease and then turn around and break the law of decency. You are darned luck you don't live near some if us or we'd make sure you never had another animal as long as you live. Once again, SHAME on you.

Hi I think its great that you have been keeping an eye out for this little Yorkies safety, Good Job.

I was wondering how the manager can say where the Yorkie will go? I mean its not her dog so how can she give it away and decide who gets it?. Id Think that only the owner has that right. But anyways I hope you get the Yorkie.

The saga continues and Peanut, keep a low profile and victory shall be yours. I think you may give the woman too much credit to know of YT unless she knows you are part of the forum.

To steal the pup would be wrong and illegal; you would probably be the first person they would look to regarding her disappearance. To report on her condition to animal welfare, a "given" if that poor pup is left outside again.

Ever invest in a pair of binoculars? I am not making light of this pup's life, but want her to end up in a good home and not dumped somewhere.

So, Peanut has to be careful to remain in the background until the woman relents and gives up the dog. Remember you get more with sugar than vinegar.

She has given them a written noticed to find the dog another home, and she has been trying to be nice about it for the past few months, but now after all that has happen she doesn't think she deserves the dog, and too she isn't suppose to have it...so all she has to do is call animal control and have the dog pick up, and she is going to give them my info to foster the dog...:)

I really hope they will. Hopefully she tells them its eviction or give up the dog today!! I doubt she is on YT. People here wouldnt do that . I know we have the occasional person that wants to breed solely for $$ so the come here to list & thats it. But most of us owners &/or breeders have very spoiled yorkies. They may sell it cheap or they may want a crazy price even though they obviously could care less. They may give it to you or they might have a friend take it a few days then stick it back out there. I use to manage apartments & they were low income too. Who knows...I hope a conclusion comes soon. :(
