| HELP!! Can we leave them alone together??? We have a 13 week old yorkie (2.3 pounds) and we just got a girl that's 10 weeks (1 pound) The older boy loves the new girl and licks her but sometimes will nibble on her ear or her leg. Should we leave them alone together? We both work and they will be alone for about 5 hours but we don't want anything to happen why we are gone. Anyone have this same experience? |

| Lillian and Cosmo used to do that for the first few weeks...but now he doesn't get mad at her anymore. I wouldn't leave them alone together. |

| Hi I would not leave them alone right now until you are sure that everything will be ok. They are both going to be small. H0w cute!

| maybe if you are not going to be there you could put them in seperate areas until you know for sure how they will act

| Oh no!!!!....I was hoping someone would say everything is ok and that they won't kill eachother. I will separate them until she is a little big bigger. I was hoping they would be friends and play together while we were away at work. Kind of the reason why we bought another one. We thought Sammie was bored and lonely! |

| Leave them in the room you plan to. Set up a camcorder & turn it on. Leave the house. Come back in a few minutes & check out how the acted. If you plan on leaving them that long. I see in pet stores there are several in a pen together. Some play, some sleep, some are biting on each other at that age. Just don't let them have run of the house, to dangerous. I caught Max chewing on the phone line to the PC when our high speed was down. The kitchen is always a good place. Put up a gate & puppy proof the room. Although it is a big difference in weight.

| We just got our second baby Leeloo she is around 14 weeks at 1.17 pounds and Marley is 1 year at 4 pounds...I struggle with the same question because they can get a little bit rough Marley used to sleep with us...the first night we got Leeloo we left her on the crate and Marley on his bed ...... they cried most of the night... ...of course I could not sleep: one missing my Marley and sad for Leeloo... Next day we left them for an hour together--they cried for 10 minutes after that they fell asleep ...now they know they have each other I think also depends on the temperament of your dogs My suggestion is to observe them.. be around whe you live them alone (they sleep in my bathroom they have a little fence, I can see them from my bed) Don't worry it will happen I know is kind of scary because she is so little...but most likely she thinks she is huge!!! |

| left alone together! We have a 11week female and a 9 week male. the female is 2lb. 16.o.z. and male is 1lb. they are too rough 7 out of 8 hrs. can't even sleep together. waiting till male gets big enough to be man of house before they are together. And as far as leaving them in the kitchen or any room, What do you do about chewing. We leave them in seperate pack and play pens because they chew baseboards and everything if unattended. Even with thier toys. I would say the enviroment plays a big role in attitude and jealousy. just my input is all hope it helps too yourkey |

| Yes! the chewing is crazy especially if you have to deal with two.....Marley left a couple of marks and Leeloo is chewing everything!!!!! They are so cute that you cannot stay mad at them I'm a softy I always let them out but to me the potty training is more aggravating ...hopefully is just a couple of months |

| They can be left in adjoining crates or a divided exercise pen so they can see each other but I wouldn't leave them alone together without you being around to supervise. As far as puppies not hurting each other that could be true, buy why take the chance? Before long they'll be more evenly matched in size and they'll be great company for each other. |

| I agree with JeanieK - one pup will be the dominate one and the other will submit. They will know how rough they can play with each other. I'm sure they will be ok. Just my |

| My 2 are only 2 weeks apart in age but Hoku is quite larger than Kalani. I watched them like a hawk the first weekend we got Kalani and on Monday I felt comfortable leaving them together in an x-pen for four hours at a time. I did put 2 crates in there so they could have their own special space. They do play pretty rough sometimes but they have learned each others limits
