| Any information on this coloring please... Taylor is going to be a year old on Monday.... As his adult coat has started to come in we are seeing white at his shoulders...hips and some at the tail. There is a little down his back. Is it possible that he has the recessive Biewer gene? His hair is slow growing so he still isn't done with his puppy coat totally. He is blue and tan...but the white was a surprise. Thanks in advance... Gayle T aka (Taylor's Mom) |

| Please post pics........its so much easier than a mental picture Bobbi has a white chest that is turning into tan, he is not a biewer (some yorkies have a white patch). The back of his nect and thighs are breaking into a steel blue as well......but his body is still very dark........he is a pup at 8 months

| Pepper used to have white 'patches' on his chest and legs but it was only a transition in his breaking of color. He's definitely getting darker, steel gray where the white used to be, I can tell by the darker roots. Still, he seems to be on the lighter side. If you post pictures, it will be much easier to visualize

| Usually with the Biewer or half Biewers, the white is visible as a puppy. The gene that the Biewers and Parti's carry is called a "piebald" gene. Some half Biewers will have white on their chest and feet when they are born. It's possible that your pup will be more of a silver blue and the "white" will be silver. As others said -- try and post pictures so we can see. |
