I have 2 yorkies and I am thinking of getting a third dog. I was thinking of a maltese. What do you think? Will they get along?

I have 3 dogs and they all get along wonderfully! I have 1 Yorkie, 1 Morkie (half Yorkie/half Maltese), and a Pointer.

Hi, I have 2 yorkies and 2 Maltese. They do have different personalities but they do get along fine. Goodluck with choosing your new Maltese. Keep us posted.

They will do great !! my good friend Mary has 2 maltese and 1 yorkie and they have no problems w/ eachother !! she even have pix of one of her maltese holding her yorkie sleeping together !! it's s0o0o kootie !!

I have 6 yorkies and one maltese! They get along great. Yorkies ...at least mine tend to be more headstrong. My maltese is the sweetest, dearest, most nicest dog there is. He is bigger than ALL my other dogs but he is the gentlest. GoodLuck! If I didn't love the yorkies breed sooo much... I would have many malteses!

I have 1 boy yorkie and 1 girl maltese, and they get along beautifully

They are best friends! As a kid, I grew up with a maltese and a yorkie too, and they loved each other.

My other Maltese Lacey is super sweet. She's more laid back. When i'm at home, she follows me everywhere. She also wants to be cuddled and just sit on my lap. My other Maltese Pipay which I got 3 weeks ago is only 4 months and all she does is either sleeping or play with my other Yorkie Bella.
My first Yorkie Ginger is a real Diva, a spoiled brat but very smart and very protective of me.
Either breed, you could not go wrong. Malteses are very sweet and more laid back. Yorkies although they are more high maintainance and wants more attention, they are very sweet too. I already have 2 Yorkies and 2 Malteses (All girls)and although it is such a hard work, I don't have any regrets of having them at all. Goodluck again and keep us posted.

we had a yorkie and a maltese, and they got along great! became the best of friends! they were sooooo cute together! you will love it! the personalities of both dogs were very similar, playful, loving, and wanted as much attn as you could give .. hahaha .. even though i have to admit Penny (our yorkie) was a little smarter than Casper (the maltese) .. he was definitely what we would call special

but it made him all the more cuter! hahahaha!

I love our Maltese, we got her first. She is more laid back & very loving. Then came our Morkie 5 months later. She is more Yorkie acting than Maltese. One year after getting our Maltese we got our 1st Yorkie. They all have different personalities, but get along very well. Yorkies to me are more energentic than Maltese. I love all of them & wouldn't mind getting more.
