| Shar-Pei's as noted here are known to be aggressive, that being said, any dog can be aggressive under the right (or wrong) circumstances, especially when it comes to food/treats/toys/attention etc. Your job of course is to closely monitor the situation and think from a dog's perspective (as Cesar Milan) would say and not from a human perspective. Another problem is Yorkies sometimes think they are much larger then they are and sometimes that causes trouble. I can't tell you the number of times I walk my guy and he growls at something bigger then a horse, not knowing that the big guy could finish him off in one bite!! I would not give your dog a bone with the other present, even when dogs have their own bones, they are like children, they want what they don't have (the other dog's bone). You have it harder cuz your Yorkie is so small and defenseless in a "fight" situation that could ultimately kill or scar your little one for life. Good luck, and you might want to talk to a professional trainer. Kath |
