They are not "REAL" children even tho some of us treat them like it (including myself) so I seriously doubt that their little yorkie friends are going to make fun of them and give them a complex at the playground

![]() Although, I'd personally let a son grow his hair long if he wanted to. If he wanted a bow, go for it! lol...

| It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | I tried a bow with Duke and hubby said to take it out. Have not tried with Gizmo yet, but now I have a little girl to dress up.

| but wait if thats what they want to do then why not let them right? sounds like you are contradicting your self. But anyway lets not get into useless arguments and agree that anyone should be able to put anything they want on their dogs ooook? |

My fiance's tiny nephew has an adorable head of curls, and people may mistake him for a girl - but it is seriously too cute to have it cut off. Funny, since the mother would like to have it cut, but everyone begs her not to.

| There are some very "masculine" bows and outfits for male dogs. There are Harley Davidson leashes, tags, jackets, etc., rocker clothes, sports clothes and so on. Max won't wear anything in his hair, but I bought some black bows, barrettes and rubber bands. They look nice sitting on the shelf! He also won't wear clothing. He freezes and puts his head down. I just don't think it's that important since he really doesn't want them on him. He does wear either a black hoodie, a Yankee jacket, or a really cool red velvet vest with tigers embroidered on it - very male - when it's cold outside. He likes hose, but would not wear the cutest, warmest black parka. It's all up to the owner, I think.

![]() It looks like I'll be getting a pup around November/December - so a lot of those themed bows would be great. Still not sure about what gender I'll get... not even sure what will be available yet.

I have girls but ...IF I had a male I would bow him. First - it keeps the hair out of their eyes - and 2nd - it's CUTE and 3rd - there's so many Bows out there why not do it ? Did I mention it's cute ??? Boys wearing bows has nothing with gender - it's simply a look and I think they wear it very well. I didn't see anyone getting snippy but agree what we do with our own dogs is a personal choice and this thread made me laugh - I mean WHO CARES if someone puts a pretty bow on a male yorkie ?
